Resumo: The hosting organization: revolutionizing the relationship between audience and theater by utilizing performance to create a participatory meeting, not a spectator activity. The organization ensemble are a diverse group dedicated to a common artistic goal - realized by researching the heights and depths of emotion, recalling heritage and reacting to the reality of life. As a cultural and educational association, Teatr Brama uses non-formal and informal educational methods to empower people to use art to improve their lives and their world.
The organization has no specific target group and works with people of all ages and backgrounds, however we most frequently work with young adults between the ages of 15-30. As a theater, or regular activities include traveling with our performances to show them to as many people in as many places as possible. In our headquarters we additionally host performances, concerts, exhibits, festivals and events. As an socio-cultural, education association our activities involve leading artistic/integrational workshops for groups of all ages (from kindergarden - seniors) that have a goal of using creativity to help people break down barriers and gain confidence to utilize their own skills and strengths to shape their lives.
Perfil: Active and proactive.
Interested in learning and helping in the technical organization of the association (audio, lighting, maintenance)
Creative, interested in art, culture, (not necessarily theatre and performing arts).
With a passion for video creation and photography.
Eager to help us create European projects and create new international contacts for our association.
With the desire to learn how to work with the different communities of the association (disabled people, children, elderly people) through different educational and/or creative activities.
Age: 18-30
Tarefas: The main purpose of the project is to engage the EVS volunteers in different tasks of non formal education, in order to offer complete information to local young people (as well as others the volunteer will come into contact with) information about the Youth in Action Programme and other mobility programs for youth in the frame of the European Union.
The project will assist the volunteer by providing them opportunity to participate in several aspects of working with an alternative theatre and educational association - including planning and administrative work, researching, creating cultural and artistic actions, organizing events and festivals, promotion, technical assistance and teaching.
The volunteer will be given the opportunity to realize their own creative ideas and projects. We encourage volunteers to envision new projects and create their own original work, either with the help of the organization ensemble or independently. We frequently work with our local community, so the volunteer will be encouraged to become an active citizen in our society. It will be an informal and inter-cultural education experience which will help the volunteer expand their self awareness and knowledge about cultural heritage, history, values, languages, interpersonal skills and dealing with people from different backgrounds.
Volunteers will be involved at the same time at different levels in the organisation. More in detail we are looking mostly for 1 volunteer who will mainly create videos and photos and will be part of the technical team of the theater or a volunteer who will take part in our activities with different communities and can help create new projects and international contacts.
The activities of the volunteers will almost always be on a double track, on the one hand creative and on the other hand production and organization.
