Resumo: The aims of coordinating organization are:
To promote social integration, equality and solidarity between young people through social, artistic, environmental, cultural, of community-based integration and/or sporting projects, at local, national or international level
• To encourage participation of the regions young people with the main objectives of promoting tolerance, intercultural and social awareness.
• To educate citizens to be socially active and aware of social needs.
• To dynamize rural areas.

The coordinating organization is a non-profit, youth association, established in 2005 by a group of ex- European volunteers and young volunteers, aiming to promote universal values like solidarity, tolerance, and respect, through local, regional and international projects and to cover the lack of training and counselling regarding promotion of social values, volunteering, interculturality or mobility.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Speak basic Spanish language at first. It’s very important a basic knowledge to communicate with the workers and children.

Tarefas: The volunteer will work in our organization. He has to complete the 35h per week. During the first weeks a schedule will be given.

-European Solidary Corps promotion and promotion of other mobility programs: volunteer will plan meetings to present the ESC to different secondary schools in the area. Volunteer has to prepare his own presentations and contact different schools to promote the program. In Obre’t’Ebre we inform and asses young people that want to travel about with ESC. The volunteer will help to inform young people and we also want him to spread his experience among people of his/her age.

-Training for young people with no studies or job: the volunteer will help to organize and assess practical lessons together with the trainers. The main activity of the volunteer will be helping them to prepare materials. If volunteer feels secure, he can also teach some themes to the students.

-Catalan volunteering exchange program: This program aims at helping newcomers to learn the Catalan language. The volunteer will help to look for Catalan speaker volunteers so they can volunteer with other people from the area who do not speak the language. Also, volunteer will be invited to bring his own initiative and ideas in order to implement the program to the local community.

-Workcamps: each summer the organization organized 2 different workcamps about environment (1 with minor and 1 with international young people) in 2 different villages. We expect the volunteer to be one of the monitors of the workcamp and help ang get involved in pre-activities and organization. This means that he/she has to remain, together with the director of the workcamps, with 15 young people during 14 days in each camp.This program just in summer time.

-Communication: Writing and editing articles about the project that the volunteer is involved/ participate in Fundraising activities during the weekends and other events from the organization (San Jordi, Mother tongue party, Poetry parties, Solidarity fair etc.) and helping young people to find their ESC project around the world.We also expect the volunteer to work on promotion in social media.

-Participation with other organizations: we cooperate with other NGO’s in order to spread the value of volunteering and mobility program.

The volunteers will offer support in the different activities yet they will also develop their own initiatives in personal projects. They can start a project depending on their interests with the help of his/her co-workers aiming at the promotion of ESC, etc. As aforementioned, we may adapt the project to the needs of young people with special needs. In this project young people with special background will be more considered.
