Resumo: Day Care Centre - Daily Support Facility is a place, where the young people in the age from 5 to 9 years old can spend their free time after school and kindergarten and everytime learn something from our workers and we hope that also from you! Children can do their homeworks there, make some artistic crafts and exercises to work on their manual skills and have workshops from music, dance, drama, sport, etc., which can enlarge their abilities and who knows, maybe future passion! Children can participate in lot of activities like making own performances, painting the space in the Facilities, learning other languages and cultures from other volunteers and first of all, spend time with their peers. The space in Kowalska 3 is a kind of other world for them, where children are coming every day from Monday till Friday to rest, chill and feel better.

That place is located in a nice place to seat and enjoy the view of old buildings. Apart very beautiful architecture and surroundings, that area is facing some issues. People, who are living here are usually from poor families, who are fighting with poverty and social problems like alcoholism, unemployment, broken families- all those conditions may interact on children and their behaviour can be different. Apart cultural differences, the way of caring for youngsters can be diverse and by making workshops of sociotherapy, art therapy, music therapy or connected with drama, sport and dance, children may learn and calm down after any situations, which had happened in their society/at home. Activities, in which volunteer will be involved will be connected with supporting the workers in all those common works. Also, volunteer will be making his/her own workshops of culture, languages or any other hobbies which could be interesting for kids.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: This project is about being part of team of Day Care Centre and Sempre a Frente Foundation’s daily activities and life. By coordinating this project we give young people great chance to get lot of new experience in working in a group, preparing and making own activities and learning how to cooperate with diverse group of children. We also always want to learn something new from volunteer, so this place is a great chance and opportunity to make your own activities and initiatives.

Apart that we are making variety of occasional and local events like picnics, carnavals, celebrations, etc. and other proposals of volunteers. Also, volunteer is welcomed to learn with us to write project applications and be involved in other Foundation’s initiatives, apart Day Care Centre.

The volunteer, who will be in the Day Care Centre, should be opened for kids and be empathic as well as polite and caring. We will appreciate the person, who will have already some experience in the field of nursery, pedagogy, childcare, teaching, dancing, singing or any education related with youngsters, but we are also opened for people, who want to get some new experience and are willing to learn and develop in another area or exactly in this space, together with Sempre a Frente psychologists, social workers and youth workers.

Apart the activities in Day Care Centre, volunteer will be having workshops in a schools and high schools about EVS/ESC, their countries, culture and all topics volunteer is interested in. As well as in the schools, volunteer may make some activities in the other places like community centres, libraries, recreation centres etc.
