the volunteer can choose between two different types of main activities – listed below
Two different main activities

Activity A – teaching German
The volunteer engages in teaching German as an assistant teacher. The volunteer will assist small groups of pupils, encouraging them to speak German in order to improve their oral German skills. This will be done through games, role plays, and other activities. The volunteer is more than welcome to suggest things and activities for the lessons.
Furthermore, the volunteer will get the opportunity to prepare and conduct lessons, where they teach the pupils about German traditions and traditions that are specific for the area that he/she comes from.

Activity B – organizing leisure activities
The volunteer will be placed on our after-school programme, where he/she will organize leisure activities for the pupils. We especially concentrate on outdoor activities and put emphasis on activities that develop the children´s social skills.
The volunteer can join in activities planned by others but will also get a chance to plan activities on his/her own. A possible activity could be cooking together with, and for, the children.
It might also be that the volunteer’s activities and tasks will be a mixture of both options.
