Resumo: The integrative day care centre is located close to the forest but s till close to the city centre. The day care centre welcomes 42 children from the age of 1 to 6. The main focus of the day care centre is the integrative concept, which means that handicapped and non-handicapped children are part of the group. It is important that the volunteer i s interes ted to work with handicapped children and he/ she should be interes ted in the concept of social inclus ion. The concept of the kindergarten i s to support the children individually depending on their abilities . A various program for the Children is offered.

Besides playing together, they can experience themselves by playing and working with art and colours , doing sports , by being curious in experiment s and natural sciences , by playing theatre or by doing handicrafts . The children are always accompanied by the educators . The main goal i s that the interes t s of the children are being supported by the educator s and the volunteers . Additional excursions to Museums , the City, parks or playgrounds and cooperations with other ins titutions take place.

The day care centre has a long-termexperience in working with local volunteers in its organisation. The team which is mixed of different nationalities , offer s an exciting working area for European Volunteer s .

Tarefas: The Tasks of the volunteer i s to support the educator s in one Group of Children in their daily activities , to support the kitchen (preparing, cleaning breakfas t and lunch), but as well to s tart their own Project with the Children.

The volunteer will support the daily activities with the Kids , as well as special activities , such as : sports , experimental activities , role playing, building and cons truction and art s . Depending on the own interests of the volunteer there's the possibility to make an own Project/Workshop, such as doing handicraft s , cooking, presenting their homecountry,...

The volunteer will al so support the preparation and cleaning of breakfas t and lunch for the children and he/ she has to support the housekeeping activities . The volunteer has to work 34 hours.

Additionally the volunteer has to support the coordinating organization with the intercultural activities , such as the Livin Culture Project. He/She should participate in activities of the coordinating organization around 4 hour s a week.
