Resumo: This is a project born more than ten years ago by strong requests from some people, who wanted to live in a smaller, more welcoming, more family environment and the ambition of some operators to see these needs matched. Welcome, acceptance, centrality of the person are the inspiring principles that characterize the hosting organization. Features that first of all involve considering all aspects of the human person and lay the foundations for the possibility of living with satisfaction even in the presence of disharmonies that would normally generate suffering. The house is located in via Milano 71 in Biella, an area well integrated into the city context and well served by public services.

The hosting organization is aimed at adults with disabilities, with motor disabilities and/ or medium to moderate mental retardation associated with motor and sensory disorders. The structure consists of a housing community and an apartment group. The accommodation community can accommodate up to 7 people. Users are people with mild to moderate disabilities, with the need for educational support and tutelary support, but with a good degree of ambulation. The apartment group is intended for people with different middle-level motor disabilities who have as main characteristic, the fact of having a sufficient level of personal and relational autonomy. The group can accommodate 5 people.

Perfil: Age. 18-30

Tarefas: The role of the Volunteer will be to placed side by side and support the guests of the organization in everyday life and in external activities included in their educational projects. Specifically, the activities in which the volunteer will be involved will have the objective of:
• Promote autonomy in carrying out daily tasks of care, rearrangement and custody of personal effects and their home;
• Promote and mediate socialization and the building of positive relationships in the contexts of life, work, school, sport and leisure;
• Accompany and support the disabled in work/ employment and leisure activities;
• Help the disabled person to manage free time in the home by promoting activities suited to their abilities and interests.

Condições: LIVING CONDITIONS: Volunteers will live in cohousing in a flat in the center of Biella, in double room, with wifi, bus-stop some metres from the door, all services in the city very close.
MONTHLY ALLOWANCE: around 150€ pocket money + 160€ food money. Lunch on service days is provided at the service office. LOCAL TRANSPORT: At the arrival volunteer will receive some tickets for bus and in a few days will receive a monthly card for the bus, that connects Biella with the place of service. Possibility to receive a bicycle for all project period also.
