Resumo: The hosting town has around 60.000 inhabitants. In the last years Molfetta's commercial activities and attractions have been improved, thanks to the recent construction of a huge shopping area, equipped with stores, national chains, outlets, Luna park, hard discount, cinemas and so on.
At the same time in the historical centre many restaurants, clubs, bars and youth meeting point are crowed during the week-end especially at the evening.

The hosting organization is made up of seven schools (five Nursery schools, two Primary schools and one Low Secondary school or Middle School, as it is called in Italy) located in different areas of the town. Its users come from different social backgrounds and have also got different educational needs. Nursery school pupils are from age 3 to 5, pupils from Primary school are from age 6 to 11 and Secondary school sudents are from 11 to 14.

The school aims at:
- raising the levels of education and skills of students
- contrasting social and cultural inequalities
- preventing early school leaving
- realizing an open school as a permanent research and experimental laboratory of didactic innovation and education to active citizenship
-guaranteeing the right to study and to equal opportunities for successful education
-teaching the respect for the environment and cultural heritage

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: As a volunteer, you will have the chance to support the teachers and staff, enriching the daily activities of the students. You can:
• present your own culture and country
• assist in English lessons and organizing non formal activities
• help with disabled students and difficult students during their daily school activities, such as: homework, physical activities, self-confidence, etc...
• help nursery and primary school children during their lunch at school
• support all the students or those who are interested in foreign language conversation and international project
• support students who are going to take the exam of 3rd Media in orienteering
• support the staff and teachers to train their foreign language skills
• assist in sports activities
• help in practical and creative work
• take part in extra-curricular activities (environmental activities, volleyball tournaments, art activities...)
• take part in cultural and sightseeing activities and school trips

Condições: As a volunteer, you will live in a flat together with 3 other volunteers, close to the school. The accommodation will be provided in double room with a shared bathroom and kitchen.
The lodging choice will be always decided by the organization and it is not possible for you to choose your own accommodation.
You can have your meals:
 At home, which is fully furnished with kitchen. In this case an additional amount of money of 150
euros will be provided.
 In case you are involved in an excursion, the hosting organization will provide food for you.
