Resumo: The hosting organization si located in a town with 60.000 inhabitants. The town has gone through a period of cultural and economic growth thanks to the development of olive-oil, fruit and vegetables production and textile and stone-cutting activities. The town is in a flat area, and its surroundings are dotted with olive groves, vineyards and fruit. In the last few years, thanks to the proximity of the sea and to food and wine festivals aiming at promoting typical local products, tourism has gone through an outstanding development. It is possible to do many types of sport or leisure activities in nearby centre. In the last few months a cultural centre for youngsters, has been offering important social gathering and inclusion activities.

The hosting organization has 783 students from 10 to 13 years and a staff of 84 teachers. The school is equipped with a gym, an auditorium, an IT lab, a language lab and wi-fi connection.
It is one of the few schools in Italy with two musical sections where pupils learn to play various instruments (piano, guitar, clarinet, violin, cello, flute, trumpet) and it has a school orchestra formed by more than 100 pupils.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: 1- conduct a Multicultural Club in English language to foster youth cultural development.
During English language lessons, for one hour a week, a Multicultural club will be set up in collaboration with the language teacher who will have the aim of fostering a greater knowledge and understanding of the various cultures of the world among students.

2 – participate at CLIL workshops in 2nd and 3rd classes.
During the curricular hours, volunteers will work alongside the teachers of the various disciplines to promote the English language as a vehicular language of knowledge. The volunteer, in collaboration with the curricular teacher, will design a learning unit of the specific subjects, such as history, literature, geography, mathematics, science, art, music that will be proposed to the class in English.

3 – support students in everyday lessons, identifying strategies to encourage inclusive student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
4- participate to afternoon activities including art, music, sports, environmental education.
5 – participate to outings and study visits
6 - participate to a course of Italian.
7 - help the students with their homework.
8 – cooperate with local no-profit organizations

Condições: The volunteers will live in a shared flat, fully equipped, with other volunteers. A double room will be provided at the disposition of the volunteer. No single room is foreseen! The volunteer will get a transportation subscription.
The lodging choice will be always decided by the organization. Anyway, volunteers will have to respect the rules of the structure and the environment where they live.

There are possibilities for the volunteers to have their meal either:
• At home, which is fully furnished with kitchen. In this case an additional amount of money of 150 euros will be provided.
• In case you are involved in an excursion, the hosting organization will provide food for you.
