Resumo: The volunteer will live in the host organisation which allows also to young workers to get a first accommodation. It is called "young workers house". AMAJ houses different kinds of people and brings a pedagogical sustain for the weakest youngsters (see the description of the organisation). The volunteer, who will live in one of the houses of AMAJ, will sign an agreement as inhabitant. It will commit the volunteer to respect the internal rules for all the duration of the EVS.
The volunteer will be hosted within "Resource & Multimedia Area" (ERM) of the association.
This area is equipped with 15 computers connected to Internet and is opened to the public of the all city. It takes part in the fight against the numerical ditch, by offering an access to the data-processing tool and the possibility of being initiated or accompanied in its use.
It is also a resource centre which places at the disposal documentation complete and brought up to date on the sets of themes of youth (employment, formation, leisure, health...)
The finalities of ERM are to support the professional integration, the mobility and the citizenship of the young people like developing the artistic and cultural practices thanks to the multi-media tool.
This space is animated by 2 qualified youth leaders.

This
project has a bit changed. It is still in a House for young workers (aged
between 18 and 25) but the volunteer will not work a lot on the
management of the computer room. The role of the volunteer will be to
propose activities, leisure and take part in animations of the house. The
volunteer will also have to propose activities to develop
international mobility of the inhabitants: like trips or youth exchange,

Tarefas: The tasks of the volunteer will contribute to:
- To support the mobility of the young people
- To develop the awakening of their European citizenship
- To fight against the numerical fracture
- To fight against discriminations
- To take part in the setting up and counselling of cultural and educative activities

For that it will be brought to:
- To lead a project of expression with the young people of the association on the topic of the European citizenship.
- To inform and accompany the public receipts in ERM (initiation with the data-processing tool, multi-media workshop of creation of Web site or photo final improvement, information retrieval)
- To take part in the authorities of collective reflexion (meetings of the educational team, educational commission, council of house).
- To give a support the realization of the actions of the AMAJ in the intercultural or interdependent demonstrations which it joins (week of education against racism, international solidarity week, day of the woman, equitable trade...)
- To take part in the animation of the life of the house during animations which punctuate the year, such Christmas, new year, Halloween, barbecue inter-hearth, tournament of foot, stay to skiing, cultural and leisure journeys that it will be able to propose.
- To work out and implement a personal project with the support of the educational team and her tutor.

The public targeted by the tasks of the volunteer are the young residents of the hearth of young worker and the young people attending ERM.
It will be framed and supported in the realization of these tasks by the social and educative counsellor of ERM and by the whole of the educational team of association.
These various tasks will lead it to include/understand the assembly of project of its development to its evaluation, to work with a specific public (young people from 16 to 30 years), to transmit its knowledge and to share its European experiment.

Horário: Estimated schedule:
The voluntary service will last will 12 months. The volunteer will work 35 hours a week from Monday to Friday. He will have 5 weeks of holidays a year.
The timetable will be as follows :
Monday: 14.00 - 21.00
Tuesday: 14.00 - 21.00
Wednesday: 09.00 - 13.00 / 14.00 - 18.00
Thursday: 14.00 - 19.00
Friday: 14.00 - 21.30

Exceptionally, the volunteer might have to work on a Saturday due to animations that might take place. If that is the case, he will get the next Monday free in return.
It can also be asked to participate actively for the public in AMAJ: prepare, co-animate an action in accordance to the public's wishes and expectations (multimedia animation, sportive animation…)

Formação: Achieving those tasks, the volunteer will gain a lot of skills. Of course, if he is not French native speaker, he will get language skills. Moreover he will have the opportunity to :
- learn how a house for young workers and a social house for young people work. Take part in the setting up of projects of mobility for young people;
- gain skills in the field of creation of projects for young people;develop skills to work in a team;
- enrich its human experience by living and working in a heterogeanous environment; that is to say with young people coming from different soical origin;
- get skills to lead workshops;
- develop capacity to be flexible, creativity and other useful qualities for further professional life such patience, attentiveness, perseverance.
