Resumo: The Hosting organization is one of sixteen Europe Direct Information Centres in Sweden and 420 in the whole European Union. The purpose of the Information Centres is to involve and inform the public about the European Union and European topics. The office takes a proactive role to organise events, create communication tools, visit schools and different fairs in order to reach the public. Other aims include answering questions on political activities of the European Union and promoting European integration. Advice and practical tips on rights entitled to Union citizens are also provided.

Perfil: Age. 18-30

Tarefas: The main task of the Volunteer at the hosting organization is to reach out to youths in the area to inform them about the European Union and its possibilities of going abroad through studies, work, internship, voluntary service, youth exchanges, etc. When going to schools the volunteer also assist by telling the students about his/her own experiences with volunteering, play EU-related games with the kids and support the office to come up with new games and exercises for the students.

Other tasks are to assist the office in contacting the youths who have gotten in touch with the office through our homepage, Eurodesk, to hand out information on different possibilities that the EU offers to youngsters to go abroad and to support in writing applications. The volunteer furthermore have the chance to implement an own project related to the European Union.
