Resumo: The host organization is a no-profit association, founded in 2007 by a group of friends who love sport. From that time the association has been involved in more and more projects, especially thanks to the human group working in the organization: young and qualified people highly motivated. we deal with many municipal sport schools, among them one of sport adapted for persons with disability, also we carry out a program of "family respite" during the weekends. We organize summer camps for children and sport events, we collaborate with the association placeat (association for persons with intellectual disability) in many of our projects: activities about social inclusion with schools and institutes, sport activities with the patients of the association, a work camp in summertime with national and international volunteers together with the users of the association, and since few years we are partners in our european voluntary projects.

from a.m.euexia we also offer a service of information for young people, according with an agreement signed with the town hall of plasencia. from monday to friday starting from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. we offer information in our office to all the young people looking for opportunities abroad: european programs of mobility, job offers, scholarships, etc.

Perfil: - Youth between 18 and 30 years old
- Motivation and interest for the organization.
-Young people with some maturity and sense of responsibility and compromise, wanting to work in a team.
-The volunteer has to be a person with capacity to exercise active listening and empathy.
- Young patients and highly motivated.
- At least basic knowledge of Spanish is highly recommended for the profile of our users and would greatly facilitate the integration of volunteers, although it will not be an exclusive factor at the moment of performing the selection.
- Vocation for working with persons having mental illness.
- Volunteer able to transmit positive energy, positive attitude, entusiasthic person spreading joy and smiling.
- Sport competences
- Competences and/or attitude for leisure time activities to propose and be organized with the patients.

Tarefas: Activities (in the phychiatric center): helping people with mentall illness, intellectual disability or other mental disorders in their daily job, organize free time activities with them such as board games, dancing, sport, walking, handcrafts, drawing, gardening, outdoor activities… - Hosting Organization: Centro Sociosanitario de Plasencia

Horário: WORKING HOURS - The volunteer will work 30-35 hours per week , including time for meeting with mentors and linguistic support. He/she will have 2 consecutive free days per week + 2 free days per month.

Condições: FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION - The volunteer will live in an apartment to be shared with other 3 volunteers, in
the center of the city. The apartment includes: 1 kitchen, 1 living room, 4 bedrooms (each volunteer will have his/her own bedroom), and 2 bathrooms. Food will be covered by the Coordinating Organization Asociación Multideportiva Euexia.

POCKET MONEY - The volunteer will receive 5 euros per day of pocket money, paid in cash or by bank transfer by A.M. Euexia in the first 5 days of each month.

LANGUAGE SUPPORT- An on-line Spanish language course is provided by the Erasmus + Program. Furthermore A.M. Euexia guarantees that the volunteer will have linguistic support provided by a private teacher during the first months, in order to help him/her in integration in local community and in the project.

LOCAL TRANSPORT - Any transport in connection with the project will be covered by the Coordinating Organization A.M. Euexia.

Round Trip’s costs to/from Plasencia will be covered by the Erasmus + Programme, according to the distance in terms of kilometres:
- PORTUGAL: up until maximum 180 €
