Resumo: The hosting organization is a Czech based non-profit organisation funded by highly experienced and energetic individuals taking collaborative initiative across sectors to provide children and young people sustainable, and high quality projects that support their intercultural and linguistic competencies.

The engine of the hosting organization and its main strength are 5 committed individuals, creative, well-educated and richly experienced in the sphere of project management and implementation experts, all involved at different levels of our project working mainly on voluntary basis. The chairperson of the association, even though working for the organization on voluntary basis, spends 20 hours on administration work in the organization (promoting organization activities, administrating email communications and phone calls, fund raising and developing new ideas).

She then spends another 10-15 hours a week lecturing the hosting organization regular and occasional activities. Other committed members of the association are mainly external lecturers who take up regular and occasional the organization activities and are involved 3-5 hours a week. The hosting organization plays an active role in improving the situation of children and youth by introducing innovative models in non-formal education. The objectives of the School are:
1. bring together people (professionals and non-professionals) who are willing to actively join organization activities

2. organize educational, cultural, sports and relaxing activities for children and young people

3. create better conditions of children and youth in non-formal education, sports and cultural activities and social integration

4. realize projects that solve problems and obstacles of children and young people with fewer opportunities

5. Cooperation with other institutions, stakeholders and foundations and helps (through charity activities) developing initiatives to network more institutions into creating educational, cultural and relaxing activities.

Tarefas: The aim of hosting a volunteer in our organization is to bring an international aspect in our activities (in terms of planning and realizing activities). We believe that if we work with a volunteer from different country, it can change our decisions for future strategic planning (by sharing his/her opinions and points of view).
We know that if we involve a person from different country in our activities our participants are motivated to hear about different countries, to learn foreign languages and to be more open to different cultures - this is our main aim of hosting a volunteer (to support a platform for local people on which they can be in personal touch with different cultures). This aim corresponds with the general aims of our organization, too. We also know that by involving an international volunteer in our activities, our organization becomes more atractive, visible and visited.
Contrary, our organization can offer a space for somebody who likes to learn new things and likes to get working experience from our specific environment. In this way, we see the solidarity aspect in our ESC projects.
In order to meet the aim of our ESC projects, our volunteer will be able to get involved in any of activities run by our organization (English classes/Dance classes/Music classes/ African festival/Playgroups....etc.) not only on the practical level but also in terms of planning and orgnizing the activities.
We will also provide our volunteer a space to invent his/her own activities and support him/her with a mentor to be able to realize them.

The harmonogram of our volunteer could be following:

Monday
Preparation of the week - 3hours
= Meeting with coordinator, Discussion and preparation on weeks programme and methodology.
Research for information, material etc for the programme.
Dance class - children - 1 hour
English class - children - 1 hour

Support to the facilitation of the art class - 3 hours When our volunteer joins B.Sch. activities or supports facilitation of playgroups, he/she is basically in a role of job shadowing, supervised by the main leaders of the activities (professional lecturers or care takers). The volunteer never takes responsibility of the activities or their participants.
Our playgroups capacity is 8 children aged 2-6 years and there is usually 1-2 care takers looking after them.

Our volunteer plays a role of an assistant - there is always a professional lecturer presented in all our
classes. Our activities capacity (e.g. dancing/English/Music classes) is usually 4-6 persons (adults or children), except music and dance activities where the maximum number of participants can be upto 10 and there is usually one group leader (lecturer) taking care of the participants.
