Resumo: The organisation as a part of the world movement Christian oriented, volunteery, unpolitician and unconfesion organisation, which task is service and helping to young people for their harmonic improvement of body, intelectual and spiritual personality folder. Our job is based on Christian principles and it’s connection to the domestic and foreign cultural and historical traditions.

Our group of workers and volunteers is focussed to work with children and youngsters especially with ones with fever opportunities. We try to create program, which is interesting, attractive for them and which improve their in all folders of their personage. We organise creative workshops, presentations about real lifestyle problems, about disabilities, we manage games of intuitive pedagogique and Montessori workshops for small children of pre-school age. We are hosting and sending foreign volunteers on EVS service who also participate in educating youngsters. Exept of it, they visit lot of social service arrangements, when they help youth workers in their job. They also visit elementary schools, high shcools, where they assist teachers in teaching.. They help us to manage summer camps, which we organise for children.

Our organization also works and help families who are socially excluded, they usually poor. Children from those families visit our organization and take part on various activities. We have set good cooperation with social organizations on the field of emergency housing (where there live children and youth, too), daily stationary for disabled young people, municipal cooperation, organizations in our city: Labour office, Daily stacionaire for disabled people, open-air museum of agriculture, primary schools and high schools and other organisations of social services in Nitra, so we are prepared to offer volunteer's job for young people with fewer opportunities.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The main focus of the organization is to help disadvantaged groups of children, residents as well as individuals. At the same time, we are also monitoring the preparation of volunteers for adult life in the common Europe. We help volunteers become fully-fledged citizens, responsible for their actions and attitudes, and at the same time solidarity with all nations, minorities, ethnic groups, and so on.

These goals are achieved through regular and irregular activities such as clubs and occasional events for children and youth. We also provide social counseling and organize charity eventsinvolving volunteers. They have the opportunity to gain experience with organizational work, they also gain experience in social work. Volunteers help in a special school, for children with mild mental disabilities, combined disabilities and autism. They get assistant experience, which they can use to find a job. We motivate and lead them to our own small projects, support their ideas, and teach
them how to successfully implement their idea. We develop social sense, we teach them how to work with children, how to motivate them, and how to engage creatively with them. With volunteers, we are preparing presentations for schools about EVS projects and about the country they come from. In these actions, they acquire public speaking, promotes their self-confidence and self-confidence, and broadens their knowledge. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in workshops organized by our facility or as part of public events. They also teach children new skills they know. The volunteers also engage in various activities within the city. Familiarize themselves with the cultural heritage of Slovakia, learn new techniques and skills, which will enrich their lives and extend their possibilities in life or leisure.

Volunteers sport and organize games and hiking trips for children, which promotes the health of all participants. Volunteers help with cleaning and maintaining the site. In all these activities, they build a relationship to the environment, nature conservation and strengthen friendship, fair play, learning responsibility and tolerance. An important part of their activities is communication with children. In informal conversations, they acquire skills in communication in a foreign language it supports their development of knowledge, personal growth. The volunteers also take part in Slovak language lessons, which they perform in our organization. Here they meet other young people with different countries, learn SJ or improve their knowledge of English. Volunteers can teach their mother tongue, tutor foreign language, or they can prepare for children games in foreign languages. During summer holidays, we make daily summer camps for children from our community.

We will engage volunteers in the preparation of the program and also in the actual implementation.

The presence of volunteers is strongly motivating children and volunteers, developing creativity, helping to solve disputes, verifying the practice of implementing their ideas. Volunteers also learn to work with camera, computer, internet. Last but not least, we are teaching volunteers to manage money.
