Needs will be examined individually.
According to the specific needs, we will have the needed support in our town and adapt the place of work and accommodation to volunteers. If we need something we cannot find, we will try to add it to the initial project.
Regarding special needs due to disability: we have done the project "Ice-breaking" Seminar, with volunteers willing to host volunteers with disabilities.
These volunteers will receive more monitoring from the mentor.
The Programme of European Projects and Youth Exchanges includes projects to adapt places for disabilities. The staff members in this programme have participated in courses about disability, relations with blind people and sign language.
The Information Centre Informajoven's web site is accessible for these young people.
The residence is adapted for people with disabilities.
We have technicians qualified to work with young people, being 7 of them accredited as Social Workers. We also have Social Workers and Social Educators at the Project for European Projects and Psychologists and Pedagogues at Informajoven and the Youth Spaces. The staff members have carried out disability workshops at ONCE and FESORMU.
The mentor is qualified and has skills and experience hosting volunteers with special skills. People with disabilities are a priority in our sending projects. Mentorship is reinforced with them.
Our staff has training regarding intercultural matters and awareness of people with disabilities. We have agreements with organisations supporting people with disabilities. Hosting volunteers with special needs is a priority for us.
When hosting volunteers with disabilities, we establish a more constant contact with the sending organisations. We then contact ONCE, FESORMU or FAMDIF to work together with them, depending on the specific disabilities.

We will make sure that volunteers count with:
-AXA insurance.
-Municipal insurance for municipal activities.
-Training and support to avoid risks, as well as tools to solve conflicts. The residence where they live has 24 h/security guard. The residence is adapted to disabilities.
Mentor: there will be weekly meetings to assess activity, training or any suggestion to improve the project, personal situation and relations with the local community. The mentor works in the Youth Service, from 9 to 15, but they can contact him when needed, if there is an emergency. Volunteers also count with the support of the people responsible for the activities and the local volunteers. Before the activity, we will also contact volunteers frequently to avoid any crisis. They receive information about the AXA insurance. During the activity, they are supported by the mentor, supervisors and programme manager. After the activity there will be a session to prepare the dissemination of the results and to prepare volunteers to go back to their countries.
We try to foresee crisis and take the needed measures.
Usually, crisis can be solved. The aim is always the welfare of volunteers.
All crisis up to now have been solved favourably and have shown us to avoid new ones.
Hosting minors is not foreseen.

Formação: -Language intensive course: for people with no knowledge of Spanish, during the first 2 months. A language exchange will take place with another young person.
