Resumo: The host organization is a volunteer non-profit association founded in 1996 to help organizing Festivaletteratura, an international 5 days’ gathering of writers from all over the world, entertaining the audience with readings, talks, lectures, theatre shows and concerts. Many occasions are created for readers and authors to meet and keep their dialogue alive, and build and ideal place to exchange opinions beyond any barriers, far away from institutions or arid conference rooms. Almost 100,000 are the people of every age coming to Mantova every September, which makes Festivaletteratura one of the most well-known literary events in Italy and Europe and a unique opportunity of sharing ideas and thoughts.

The organization supports the organization of this event also thanks to the commitment of over 300 volunteers, mostly Italians. Every year they contribute to the success of the event, working in various practical activities, such as: secretariat, organization, ticket sales, on-site assistance, accompanying authors, accommodation, logistics, etc.
For the rest of the year our Association works mainly in 2 areas: first of all for the documentary and archiving activities dealing with the previous edition (audio recording of the lectures, pictures and videos, etc.); secondly for the preparation of the following edition, such as the programme arrangement, the individuation of the ideal locations, logistics and stands, promotional material, etc.

During the year, we take care also of other initiatives reinforcing the connections among the members: our headquarters are open to new subscriptions and to offer information, we organise concerts and theatre plays, cinema shows, and we edit a newsletter.

Perfil: - Be flexible and smart, interested and sensitive towards culture and literature, in the publishing world, and in the relationship
between Internet, new technologies and culture.
- Have good familiarity with computers and the internet, as well as precision and problem solving
- Know Italian (at least B1), due to the specificity of the proposed activities
- Have a good knowledge of English or French
- Volunteer 1: Be pragmatic and open to follow different tasks, even apparently modest and simple
- Volunteer 2: Have previous experienced cataloguing and data

Tarefas: 1) At the secretary office: organisation of one of the most well-known festivals in the world. They create
and manage initiatives aiming at promoting Festivaletteratura, a regular appointment for writers and
readers since 1997. It is an international 5 days’ gathering of writers from all over the world, entertaining
the audience with readings, talks, lectures, theatre shows and concerts.

2) At the archive: it opened its doors in 2010. Since then it has hosted students, scholars and all people
who were interested in consulting materials. It comprises the digitization of a large part of the assets,
which is divided into several sections: photographic, sound, audiovisual and graphics. All the publications of
Festivaletteratura, the whole press release, a small library and an emeroteca (newspaper library) are
available there, and testify the birth and the development of the Festival.

Condições: The flat is located in the student house a few steps from the center.
The flat is made up of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a common living area. Inside the building there is a wifi and a laundry and a concierge service.
