Resumo: Family centre has more than 440 m² space for pedagogic use, 3 employed staff and it is in walking zone in the district where the organization mostly have activities is specially fitted for useful activities as far as EVS is concerned. We want to take our part to make Europe and other countries touchable for every person in this quarter of Berlin and wider. This facility has small office part, anti stress room, creativity room, big playing room, kitchen, learning room, reading room, chill out area and separated bathroom. This facility is mostly focused on activities with children and their parents, social learning processes and integration.Several youth participation projects, youth culture projects, projects for political education and international youth exchanges.

Perfil: 1 patient and motivated volunteer required for organizing and facilitating social involvement and activities for parents and their children (ages can range from babies to young teenagers) and for seniors. Service users mostly live in the district which is surrounding project venue. Since not many people speak other language than German and children also basic level at German language is necessary. Tarefas: It services users are people of all generations and ages from direct neighbourhood, which live in difficult economic circumstances and mostly have social problems. For the users of the organization the intercultural experience is important. We made the experience, which the volunteers enrich the offers of our facility with new, sometimes unconventional ideas. The work is structured in open irregular offers and weekly courses such as: reading club, dancing hour, common (international) cooking, offers in music, arts, sports, Users are mostly kids from 0 - 10 years old and their families, but seniors also. We believe in the exchange of ideas and skills and we are aware that intercultural learning is one of the most valuable experiences in the development of the individual.
Activities may include: arts and crafts; organizing trips out; children’s activities; “life skills” such as basic cookery; health promotion, health and nutrition, education, reading etc. Many of the children in the project are coming from foreign background.
