Resumo: The hosting organization is an association of social promotion working mainly with newborn/children/young We implement specific activities (didactics, leisure, therapeutic, inclusive and so on) according to each age group. We promote solidarity and volunteer service as well as social aggregation trough the pursuit of social and cultural activities with the aim of improving the quality of life.

We manage an educational center for children that deals with support for school activities and homework, leisure activities and summer camps, training for children and parents and a permanent desk for the problems of families and teen-agers.

The organization it is also a Day Nursery and toy-library and implements special initiatives and projects.

We also manage a group home – providing small group of children with special needs (social and parental problems) with lodging and supervising care.
Volunteers can be involved in a range of activities according to their attitudes and skills that go from creative projects for children, special training for parents and families, care of children at risk of exclusion.

Perfil: The activities require that the volunteers must be self motivated, proactive, creative, with handwork skills, with self-initiative, willing to take on new challenges, very flexible and ready to help in different tasks of the children/young people education and life. A high motivation to work with children and young people and special interest in artistic or technological and other fields may be an asset. We expect the volunteers to have a positive attitude, patience and good listening capacity. They should be open minded and willing to work with people with fewer opportunities with different backgrounds and affected by different problems (ex: education difficulties, coming from broken families/orphans, young people with not severe mental distress, with low economic income, etc.).

Tarefas: • Promote solidarity and volunteer service as well as social aggregation trough the pursuit of social and cultural activities with the aim of improving the quality of life
• Develop and organize training and social activities addressed to schools and public bodies;
• Empower students and children with training and psycho-education support;
• Promote volunteering also at an international level;
• Promote social awareness by developing information campaigns, public events, seminars and studies;

Condições: -Free accomodation and meals
-Contribution up to 290 € for travel expenses
-Pocket money of about 120 € per month.
