Resumo: The association organizes activities related to the promotion of active citizenship in the field of environmental protection and to the protection of the artistic and cultural heritage, being particularly focused against urban degradation and pollution emergency. In the activity of awareness, denunciation of degradation and organization of cultural and tourism initiatives, the association has also joined in the last decade direct actions for the protection of green areas and cultural assets involving directly citizens of Verona, Italian and international volunteers.

This particular function of the organization consists of daily care, cleaning and maintenance of green areas, monumental and cultural assets, public gardens with outbuildings for sports and recreation for public use and natural environments.

These activities are related to the assignment of the UNESCO 2000 Walls of the Walls. This recognition provides the association with an European and international dimension both in practice and in power.

The main permanent activities of the association are the following:

- preservation and management of a large area of ​​the ramparts. These bastions, for years, an abandoned and degraded area, were finally cleaned, cared and valued by the group of volunteers who carry out ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities;

- Participation in Campaigns;

- guided tours and urban trekking at the Park of the Walls;

- Studies of naturalistic and biological character in agreement with the Museum of Natural History.

We need motivated people, interested to the topics. We like previous education about the topics, but it's not necessary. The very important thing for us is your motivation and your desire to live for the wholes 8 months this beautiful and educational opportunity. We are looking for people available to share spaces, accomodation and volunteering style.

Tarefas: 1. Our association manages and promotes the flora and fauna area called “Malga Derocon”, located in Erbezzo (Verona). The environment is typical of the upper Lessinia region. Inside the area there is a wildlife enclosure of about 30 hectares, in which deers, roe deers and chamois live in conditions similar to natural ones and this is why it has been classified as a Nature Reserve area and a Site of Community Importance. The volunteers will help the heads of the project with the maintenance of the place and the building, with activities that allow to accommodate guests, the guided tours and the organization of the typical local cuisine. In particular, the activity will regard a continuous care for the research on the natural elements of the place. Activities: observation of the local fauna, registration of its behaviour, animal population and leavings, observation of the presence of small mammals, placement of camera traps, verification and transformation of video in data and results.

2. for the all time of the project, the volunteers will also work in the regular activities of our association, in particular in the Park of Walls, with action of care, cleaning and grass-cutting. Other activities are connected to arts and cultural promotion.

Horário: Volunteers will live and work approximately from Wednesday to Sunday in Malga. On Monday and Tuesday they will be free and they can come back to Verona and their house close to the city-center. They will be four, but they will have turns (2 by 2, some weeks at the Malga, some weeks in Verona helping us with other activities). All volunteers will share accomodation and rooms (in Verona as well as in Malga), in groups of two people (we'll have a male room and a female room, each with two beds). We consider it a basic requirement. We'll provide bikes for transports (car for Malga) and food money.

Condições: During the opportunity we'll provide a weekly training session that will change as weel as the activities. Volunteering training, personal assistence, italian lessons and scientific training. For the first time, we'll have a special budget apposite for the scientific training, with the special use of instruments and cameras for the analysis.
