Resumo: The main aim of the project is to create opportunities for active participation, mobility, knowledge in unconventional forms, exchange and meetings with other cultures, trying to bring closer what is perceived as far away, only because of lack of first-person experiences. In the short term, the project intends to:
- Supporting intersubjective volunteer paths of value in town, aimed at the unconventional learning of specific knowledge and growth as active individuals
- Promote democratic actions that motivate young people to actively take part in social life
- Contribute to the promotion of solidarity, critical thinking and social inclusion of disadvantaged people, maturing polyvalent skills in relations with them
- To give a tangible sign of the importance of these actions, involving local and international stakeholders, so that there is greater listening to the needs of young people
- Increase the capacity for European action of the subjects involved, improving and modernizing their work.
The project will involve 4 volunteers from: Poland, Bulgaria, Greece and Portugal.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteers will be actively embedded in the multiethnic and stimulating environment of the city by exploiting the activities and the network of contacts of YouNet. This will enable them to approach this context and act as protagonists thus making the most of the unique opportunity of the EVS. This close contact with the local community and the active participation in volunteering, informative and formative activities carried out by YouNet will widely enhance the growing possibility for the volunteers.

The volunteers will be involved in a European environment and will have the chance to learn about how the European Institutions (European Commission, Council of Europe, ..) and Programmes, working with specific reference to the youth policies and opportunities.
In particular, the volunteer will be involved in activities connected with workshops, trainings, seminars dedicated to young people and adults.

For this reason any education and communication competences will be appreciated.
They will improve their teamwork abilities by managing time, logistics and organisation of the activities together with the other actors involved. Being able to take part in this kind of experience is formative and educational from a personal point of view too. It increases the volunteers’ awareness of their capacities and boosts their self-esteem. These aspects will be highlighted and exploited by the mentor.

Volunteers needs to bring thier own laptop. All together, volunteers will develop some common projects (supported by the mentor), for example the VIDEO about the project, radio interviews, public language tandems, public events…
