Resumo: Senior residence provides social care and social rehabilitation for people of retirement age. Perfil: From any Programme country (EU, FYR Macedonia, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey).
18-30 years. Creativity and initiative to come up with your own activities and take lead on them. You should enjoy communication with elderly people.

Tarefas: Daily activities with seniors, mostly in morning hours, but could be adjusted. This is not residence for poor seniors, as many of them have relatives who just can’t take 24/7 care of their parents/grandparents. Activities include reading newspapers and books together, talking about past, future and other topics, doing workshops (painting, singing, piano, cinema etc.), walking around. Excursions and visits together with other institutions can be arramged (e.g., kindergartens, schools, NGOs etc.). Two EVS volunteers will be working together. Communication language: Latvian, but Russian and English can be useful for both-sides learning process, body and emotional language works perfectly here.
