Resumo: The host organization is a nonprofit association that focuses on sustainable development as an alternative to natural
degradation and satisfy local needs. This initiative arises from a group of environmental profesionals and enthusiasts, who are concerned about the situation in our natural environment, and seek to address these problems providing experience and expertise. Our purpose is the study, dissemination of information and defence of the environment to promote possible and necessary changes. We tie together the relationship of humans with nature in a sustainable model, hence resulting in the name of the association. One of our main objectives is to encourage citizen participation and involvement in environmental and social problems, so we offer a range of resources, information and environmental activities.

Tarefas: Environmental education
- “PoliniCity. Green corridor for insects”. Elaborating a green corridor for pollinizator insects in colaboration with the Penitentiary of Pereiro de Aguiar and different schools of Ourense.
- Reforestation of burned forestal areas in Galicia with Pyrenean oak plants (Quercus pyrenaica), previously germinated by the users of the Penitentiary of Pereiro de Aguiar.
- “Proyecto Ríos y Quiro Ríos”. Evaluation of the quality of a river stretch studing different values, in Ourense.
-Ourense vivo. Sampling of mammals in the environs of Ourense, by searching signs and using camera traps.

Activism
- “1 month, 1 commitment”. Elaborating a reivindicative monthly activity related to different environmental, social and animal causes.
- Social integration. Long term integrating project in collaboration with the Penitentiary, that includes the “PoliniCity” and “Reforestation of burned areas” environmental education projects.
- Colaboration with the animal shelters in Ourense (Progape and Patrulla Callejera Colonias de gatos de Ourense). Making activities that help to impove the quality of life of abandoned animals (cats and dogs) in Ourense.

Ecological agriculture and permaculture
- Vegetable garden of “A Alfádega”. Maintenance (cleaning, cultivating, irrigation, reaping) of
the ecological vegetable garden of Sustinea, with eating species and aromatic plants used for environmental
education.
- Torritory safe-keeping. Supporting a terrotory in the Natural Park of Baixa Limia – Serra do Xurés, for turn into a faunistic island and into a edible forest.

Responsible consumption
- Monthly market of ecological products. Organization (searching artisans and productors and making awareness activities during the day when the market takes place) of a monthly market of ecological products in the city of Ourense.
- Solidary fridge. Maintenance of a solidary fridge in the city of Ourense, with the main objective of share food between the population, giving information to the citiziens about their functions.
Wasting food. Related to the previous project, we waste loads of food every day. That is why, as an Association of Suistainable Development we are searching an alternative that gives a second chance to that wasted food.
