Resumo: The host organization is a non-profit association. The organization has 20 lecturers, specialists and public figures, united around the ideas of protecting the right to live in a favorable environment, youth participation in public life and the promotion of the principles of civil society and democracy.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: 1. Introduction into the community. First month of the project
2. An advertising campaign for recruiting project participants – a preparation of advertising materials and a distribution in 1 kindergartens and 1schools under the topic “Youths’ ecological education in the principles of the sustainable development”. First, second month
3. Implementation of volunteers’ activities with the representatives of the children and students from the three kindergartens and the three schools on the territory of Lovech.
• Introductory meetings with the teachers for presenting of the project goals and activities. Second month of the project
• Presentations for the children in the kindergartens, primary and secondary students for the waste sorting, what waste is, different kinds. Second month of the project
• Practical activities on the topic “Waste sorting”. There should be one activity every month at each appointed place
• Organizing and implementing of campaigns along with the parents for paper and electronic waste collecting
• Preparation and performance of a short eco play among the children in the three kindergartens and its presentation among the children’s community in the end of the project – April, December
• Announcement of a painting competition on the topic: “My idea for a clean environment” for children and students, aged 5-19. There should be a performance during the closing event – June
• Practical classes /3/ regarding composting in the eco classroom, outdoors in the office courtyard of the association “Ecomission 21st century” – June – October
4. Common voluntary campaign along with Chief Directorate “Fire Safety and Civil Protection”, forest and fields protection from fires and the role of the volunteers outside of the town – May
5. Preparation and implementation of “Saint John’s Eve” (Eniuvden) – the holiday of the herbs in partnership with the village of Yoglav’s municipality. June
6. Organizing of a closing event “We know more about the environmental protection and the sustainable development”. November
• Exhibition of paintings, souvenirs from waste materials and wall panels, made by the children and students during the classes. December – closing event
• Photo-exhibition made of “caught” moments during the activities of the direct project participants – December
• Quiz among the participants on the topic “Volunteers in action regarding the protection of the Nature” – preparation – a closing event

Obligations of the EVS volunteers: participation in presentations dedicated to the ecological education and the sustainable development in all of the above mentioned activities, preparation of eco plays in the kindergartens, organizing of events, organization and popularization of the cycling march, participation in the herbs’ holiday implementation, organization of the preparation and implementation of the closing event and participation in all voluntary initiatives of the hosting organization within the community.
