Resumo: The host organization is a not-for-profit organisation created in 1993. The organization is a youth information centre which is a part of a network of 1500 info spot throughout France.

The organization is running by a team of 6 professionals which involves a general manager, an account and administration assistant, an international mobility project officer, 2 project officers and a numeric project leader.
Its main goals is inform youngsters between 16 and 35 and caters to the needs of young people on subjects such as education, vocational training, jobs, employment, cultural offering or sporting events. But also on issues like housing and health or even individual rights or international mobility (jobs, voluntary participation, education and work or training placement).

For that it has a documentation section with a free access to Internet where the welcoming is free, anonymous and adapted to the demand.

Apart from that, the organization yearly publishes a guide book and is also involved into the organisation of several events such as :
– The summer jobs days
– International events: the Youth International days (forum dedicated to international mobility), the international coffee which allow youngster to meet and speak with young people who went abroad.

The organization is member of different networks: youth information network, Ritimo (network dedicated to international solidarity), MFP (network dedicated to vocational training), Erasmus + devoppers, etc.
Lastly, the organization has 2 Erasmus developers and one Erasmus + Youth expert in his staff, in addition to being a sending and hosting organisation in the EVS frame.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: - International Press Revue and international documentation (folders + on-line)
The volunteer will help the person responsible for international mobility to complete the international press revue: selecting and cutting articles from the daily, regional newspapers and archiving them by date. The volunteer will also help her to up-date the international mobility information provided on-line and available in the information centre.

- Les journées jeunes et international / International youth days (annual event on October, 14th, 2017):
This is an event which has been organized by the Bureau Information Jeunesse (BIJ) for the past 10 years and aims to help young people with international mobility projects (studies, work placement, volunteering, jobs...). The volunteer will help out mainly to promote the different days organized by distributing flyers and posters.
- International projects
The BIJ is partner of a project called “Pass’Europe”under the Erasmus + programme (ex-Leonardo). It aims is to proposed to young people with fewer opportunities to go in internship in Dublin/Sevilla or Berlin for 2 months to improve their skills. The volunteer will help them with the paperwork, will propose them English conversation and will participate to the pre-departure training and to the final one.
Regardings this project, the coordinatins association applied to February deadline and we will know if it's granted or not on May, 30th, 2018. That means that at the moment we didn't know if the experimentation will continue on 2019/2020 or not.
- Outside Interventions
The BIJ is sometimes asked to organize small presentations or workshops (info stand for Europe day, in high schools, further education schools, events…) on different international topics. Depending on the topic, the volunteer will be asked to present his country of origin, culture, volunteer experience, the EVS or the Erasmus + programme.
- Sending young people in EVS
The volunteer will be asked to talk about her EVS experience and to give some advice to young people wishing to do an EVS. We also would like to involve him on short-term EVS project for YWFO. He will be involved in the preparation of the YP. Besides, we would like to get more video records on international mobility to add value on what we do. So if he wants, Michaela could be involved on this project.
- Personal Project
The volunteer will be offered the possibility to organize his own personal project concerning international mobility and/or youth information.
- Reception at the Bij
The volunteer will help the leaders to inform and support the public. This will enable him to get to know better the Bij team, the work of a youth information centre and the situation of French young people.
