Resumo: EL RENÁIXER is headquartered in Godella. Godella is a municipality of Valencia (Spain) belonging to the province of Valencia. It is located in the district of Horta Nord. The municipality of Godella limits with the following localities: Betera, Burjassot, Paterna, Rocafort and Valencia. The internal communication is done through a municipal bus and with the other towns, through the metro line 1. Godella has about 13,000 inhabitants, and its economy is mainly based on services yet enjoying part of orchard and a small industrial estate.
EL RENAÍXER, COOPERATIVA VALENCIANA is a non-profit associated labor cooperative created in 1984 whose mission is to improve the quality of life of the 36 people with Intellectual Disabilities it serves, and their families.
EL RENAIXER provides a comprehensive care for people with Intellectual Disability based on three pillars:
1. THERAPY AND JOB TRAINING: oriented to enabling and improve job skills of people attended for the sake of a possible integration in the standard, or protected labor market.
2. PERSONAL SETTING: working self-concept and self-assertion of oneself, improve the levels of autonomy and self-determination of individuals, focusing on the physical and emotional wellbeing of the same.
3. SOCIAL SETTING: foster social inclusion of people with disabilities, and protection of their rights and obligations as citizens of the community in which they reside.
Since 2000, EL RENAIXER, has counted with volunteers and trainees, they contribute their views, experience and enthusiasm to the organization. We understand that contact with young European volunteers becomes a great opportunity for the individuals we serve and the professionals themselves, of understanding that there are other cultures and other realities beyond their immediate geographic environment, so this interaction will allow us to work interpersonal relationships and responsibility from other prisms.
EL RENAIXER relies on 1 director, 1 psychologist, 5 occupational monitors, two of which are partially retired (85% and 75%), and 1 occupational assistant.
Tarefas: + activities on job skills [Occupational activities]
+ activities on activities of daily life: shopping, support in the service of dining and kitchen, money management, etc…
+ activities on sports: indoor football, basketball, bocce, Birlas, hiking, swimming, running and snow sports
+ Social Skills activities
+ activities on cognitive stimulation
+ Playful-creative activities: kitchen, organic garden, Falla, artisans soaps, drama and facebook page
+ Leisure and cultural outings: at least once a month an outing to community spaces for cultural purposes (museums, exhibitions, shows ...) and/or recreational (parks, natural areas, etc ...) is performed. Also participation in various fairs and local markets are organised.
+ Travel: three annual trips are scheduled: snow sports outing (one week in Pyrenees ski slopes, along with other occupational centers); summer outing (four day trip to a seaside village in Valencia); hiking outing (three days of hiking along with other occupational centers)
Horário: The weekly schedule will not exceed 35 hours per week [including Spanish lessons].
The EVS weekly schedule use to be from Monday to Friday. Timetable is from 09h00 to 13h30 and afternoons from 15h00 to 17h00.
When for reasons of timely necessity it is necessary to change the schedule of your tasks (outings and weekend excursions), you will be notified one week in advance, the days and times changed.
If you has to go to any activity outside your EVS schedule time or remain paying attention on outings several days together with users and professionals, you will be compensated with days-off.
