Resumo: The Youth Centre involves young with disabilities and it aims at reinforcing the sense of community in the
suburb area providing social services aimed to reinforce the action towards inclusion. For examples, the centre offers
free workshop of artistic expression, English conversation, homework support and informative meetings about
employment opportunities and strategies.

Here, young people 18-35 years old in a suburb area meet every afternoon, they spend time together informally, playing music, organizing youth initiatives or doing homeworks or playing games. Indeed, the center supports alternative spaces for socialization and integration of young people promoting healthy activities in the free time in a context dedicated to young people. Around 50 young people are involved daily in the youth center activities and among them, 11 are disables (10 boys and 1 girl). A youth worker of the Municipality is leading the main activities.

Main objectives of the youth center are the following:
- To promote active citizenship through activities and debite
- To promote inclusive and integration process among youngster through socialization activities without barriers. In
this context the role of the youth worker is crucial due to her professionale competences in education field.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteers will be involved in the regular daily activity of the youth centre and they will participate actively in the activities according to their needs and interests, regardless previous experiences, competences and skills.

Here, EVS will support the activities proposed by the youth workers to the young people of the center like sport
games, organizing youth initiatives or support in the homework. Indeed, the EVS can supports the youth worker in the
socialization activities and in the organization of workshops and meetings.

In particular, the EVS will give own contribution in:
- facilitating the group dynamics and the integration of youngster by peer to peer approach
- stimulate youth initiatives (ideas and proposals) of the local young people from the project planning till the
implementing phase and evaluation
- promoting the youth services and other activities by using own creativity using different channels (social network,
leaflets, etc.)
- promoting European values and active citizenship by promoting the idea of EU opportunities and spreading the
meaning of volunteering attitude and active involvement in the community
- stimulating interculturality by the interaction with different culture by presenting own culture and a different lifestyle, the use of English and the work in a international team.
