Resumo: The host organization is an organization, that was established in 2006. The goal of our organization is the creation of offers in order to develop social and vocational abilities, particularly intercultural abilities. Thus we created conditions for young people to understand and to use the possiiliites anc chances in Europe. Determining is the promotion of intercultural aspects in the youth work of the city and particularly the dealing with the possibilities of united Europe. Since we work voluntarly, we cooperate with organisations and schools of the city. We are also partner of eurodesk and have trained staff in the field of youth mobility.

The host organization is working as a sending, hosting and coordinating organization in under the EVS-programme. Therefore we got a lot of experience in the field of EVS. We are coordinating more than 10 different hosting projects. An important task ist the support of the work of all social organizations by advice and aid, in order to promote European projects. So the organization initiated several intercultural events in Jena, such as festivals and intercultural meetings. On the other side we advice and accompany groups of young people, which would like to initiate for itself and for other projects. All our actions have the goal of promoting the idea of a common Europe and understanding the variety of the European culture especially through and for young people, that will build up the next generation.

Tarefas: Each member of our team has his own talents - so everybody can learn something from each other. Some are specialist in manual skills, some in cultural projects like circus or theatre and some for outdoor education and sport activities. We are all looking forward to share our knowledge and skills.

The volunteer will be a equal part of the team. He/she will be included in the pedagogical and daily work as well. In the pedagogical part of the work he/she has the possibility to realise their self-made ideas. That means he/she can plan and arrange there own projects, of course with support from the whole team. For example the volunteer is able to organise a sport activity with the kids. Maybe he/she can present the way of living in his culture, like traditions, usages or typical food. Also the volunteer will be included by our projects. We although do pedagogical trips with the kids.

Horário: The volunteer will mostly work from Monday to Friday from 12:00 till 18:30.
The volunteer have to work 30h/week on 5 days, and you have 2 days off per month. In the end the volunteer will get a YouthPass-certificate.
