Resumo: We have 4 classes and 78 kids in total. Each class has 19 kids and there are average 12-14 kids per day per year. There are 16 people working in the nursery: 8 class teachers, music teacher, physical teacher, head teacher, 4 assistant teachers, janitor and director. There are one teacher and an assistant teacher working with kids at a time. The second teacher helps to conduct morning activities with kids.

We have many traditions that we celebrate and organise together with parent - grandparents day, autumn's birthday, father's and mother's day, Christmas, fair and cafe nights, graduation party, etc. We have made the nursery safe and fun for kids and employees. We hear a lot of gratitude and contentment form parents in our annual feedback questionnaire. We also have a very nice cooper-ation and contact with other pre-school institutions in the city and the nursery is part of the City Nursery Union. Together with the union, there are a lot of great projects with kids, parent and employees - for example, trainings and excursions. Every academic year ends with a common family day trip to nature.

Nursery's motto: Help kids to develop a positive self-image and create the sense of security for the future.

Perfil: The profile of the volunteers is not strongly limited and is open for all the people who would like to work with small kids. In that reason, the main requirement is the readiness to work with young kids, starting with the age of 1.5 years. You have to be ready to help kids with everyday activities, play with them, develop activities and help teachers with everyday activities and responsibilities. The age limit for the volunteer is 18-30 years.

Tarefas: The volunteer would be working alongside with class teacher and teaching as-sistant with children from different ethnic backgrounds between the age of 1,5 to 3 years old.

According to the daily plan of the nursery, the volunteer can be included as following:

Morning:
- welcoming kinds, guide and plays with kids, help to prepare kids for breakfast and with other eve-ryday activities (washing hands, using soap and towel, eating etc), help teachers with morning activ-ities, developing and conducting learning and playing activities, individual work with kids. After breakfast helps teachers to prepare kids for outdoor activities and create plans for outdoor activi-ties.
Lunchtime
- Helping to prepare kids for eating and napping

Afternoon:
- Helping kids with waking up from the napping (dressing, toileting etc) and preparing for the meal (washing hands, pulling up sleeves to use soap and towel, etc). Help to plan, develop and conduct afternoon activities with kids (can be either inside or outdoor), playing with kids and helping teach-ers with learning and individual activities.
We are very open to volunteer’s individual projects and ideas that would support kids learning the process. Although all days are well planned according to a specific plan, then there's always space for innovative and good ideas that would help kids to develop and learn. He/she is also very wel-comed to develop bigger event for the nurseries union to include other partners, parents and kids to a common event.
