Resumo: The host organization is a municipal kindergarten in Estonia’s. Its aim is to care for and educate children between the ages of 1.5 and 7. This is based on National Curriculum and executed through daily teaching activities, play, educational trips etc. Children are grouped into classes of similar age. Regular activities involve Art, Language, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education and Environmental teaching activities. Tallinn is a city with population consisting of many different nationalities and Tallinna Kiisupere Kin-dergarten is welcoming children from these different backgrounds. Our aim is to be open to differences and educate ourselves and our children about different cultures, to be more tolerant and open minded.

Perfil: The profile of the volunteers is not strongly limited and is open for all the people who would like to work with small kids. In that reason, the main requirement is the readiness to work with young kids, starting with the age of 1.5 years. Volunteers must be ready to spend their days amongst kids and help them with everyday activi-ties. The age limit for the volunteer is 18-30 years.

Tarefas: The volunteer would be working alongside with class teacher and teaching assistant with children from different ethnic backgrounds between the age of 1,5 to 7 yrs.

Volunteer would be asked to work in 2 or 3 different age groups every week.
 Volunteer would be asked to introduce his/her country of origin to the children of our kindergarten, their parents and staff through different events throughout the school year.
 Eg. Photo exhibition or other display about his/her country of origin, food tasting, introduction of games etc.
 Volunteer would be asked to accompany teachers and groups of up to 24 children going on mini trips to museums, exhibitions, libraries, nature etc.
 Volunteer will be asked to help the teacher in preparation of learning materials for everyday teaching activities (e.g. prepare worksheets, copy materials, taking out paints, pencils etc.).
 Volunteer would be helping the teacher and children during the everyday teaching activities and out-side playtime (e.g. Art tasks, playing with children etc.).
 Volunteer might be asked to help to dress, look after and feed the younger children, support them in their daily activities as well as older children.
 Volunteer might be asked to organize sports activities for children (e.g. a weekly outdoor sports activi-ty).
In addition to that, we have traditional events where volunteer can help us.
