Resumo: Since 1996, the association has been active developing its activities all aimed at achieving its statutory objectives.
The integration of the young European volunteer in the association is a very important opportunity for the users. It is a clear added value to our activities as their presence in our organization favors, for users, interaction, understanding an the existence of other cultures and other countries. The host of European volunteers has always been very easy and rewarding for us as professionals and workers as for the users.
Moreover, the occupational center works through individualized programming, led by qualified personnel aimed and obtaining personal and social adjustment of the person with intellectual disbility as well as job training to those users susceptible to be integrate in a workplace, which will allow young european volunteers to know the reality experienced by people with intellectual disabilities through active particpation in all ctivities undertaken by the Association.
The activities carried out in the occupational center:

In the social filed, the occupational centre itself works from activities taking place in contexts outside the centre as:
- cultural tours
- musical auditions
- participation in competitions organized by Municipal and local authorities
- camps
- shopping (autonomy, learning - Euro)
- literacy workshops

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Fist, volunteers will never supersede any job.

The role of the EVS volunteers in the project will be to assist the professional staff in the daily routine. This will involve carrying out all activities that have to be developed in any area within the daily schedule of the Occupational Centre Vicente PÉREZ.

You will be a support figure in leisure, educational and occupational activities developed with groups of adults with Intellectual Disability, always under the supervision of professionals.

Always under the supervision of the Responsible, you may assist in the programming, planning, implementation and evaluation of the various objectives and activities planned.
From the interest shown, you will be able to propose and develop educational and/or leisure activities/workshops and may well give your point of view on the various tasks, such as being able to contribute with new ideas.

Always under the supervision of the Responsible and depending on the workshops, your support may include the accompaniment of participating in outside activities, support activities or leisure in which you will support Monitors in functions as monitor or animator, and support the overall activities in which you will collaborate both in preparing the activities as in users' attention.

+ Occupational Activity Workshops: In it, the volunteer will perform support functions to monitor in preparing productive tasks, drafting, records reviewing and follow-up of each user during the morning.
+ Dining: During meal times, the volunteer will help, together with the monitor, the users group the most affected (habits, use of utensils, napkins, etc...).
+ Miscellaneous Sports: In it, the volunteer will support the monitor along with the sports activities (training, clothing, etc...).
+ Crafts Workshop: In it, the volunteer will held support functions to monitor in making the workshop, besides accompanying Disabled People, supervision and assistance in their work.
+ Literacy Workshop: In it, the volunteer will perform support functions to monitor in schooling activities (read, write, mathematics, etc...).
+ Therapy Workshop: In it, the volunteer will perform support functions to the therapeutic professional in the preparation of group relaxation sessions and therapeutic physical exercises.
+ Storytelling Workshop: In it, the volunteer will support the monitor during the activity of reading and post-reflexing round. It is also a good moment for relax and exchange.
+ Transport Accompaniment: The volunteer will assist during the pickup and delivery of users within the van belonging to the Occupational Centre. The volunteer will have to assist the driver during journeys and will have to help users with greater needs (get on and off). It is not a public transport where you can read a book or listen to music with the consequence that the volunteer’s support is very necessary and important.
