Resumo: The host organization is a non-profit assocoated labor cooperative created in 1984 whose mission is to improve the quality of life of the 36 people with intellectual Disabilities it serves, and their families.
The organization provides a comprehensive care for people with Intellectual Disability based on 3 pillars:
1. Therapy and job training: oriented to enabling and improve job skills of people attended for the sake of a possible integration in the standard, or protected labor market.
2. Personal setting: working self-concept and self assertion of oneself, improve the levels of autonomy and self-determination of individuals, focusing on the physical and emotional wellbeing of the same.
3. Social setting: foster social inclusion of people with disabilities, and protection of their rights and obligations as citizens of the community in which tehy reside.

Since 2000, the organization counted with volunteers and trainees, they contribute their views, experinece and enthusiasm to the organization. we understand that contact with young European volunteers becames a great opportunity for the individuals we serve and the professionals themselves, of understanding that there are other cultures and others realities beyond their immediate geographic environment, so this interaction will allow us to work interpersonal relationships and responsibility from other prisms.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Fist, volunteers will never supersede any job.
The role of the EVS volunteers in the project will be to assist the professional staff in the daily routine. This will involve carrying out all activities that have to be developed in any area within the daily schedule of the

Occupational Centre EL RENAÍXER.
You will be a support figure in leisure, educational and occupational activities developed with groups of adults with Intellectual Disability, always under the supervision of professionals.

Always under the supervision of the Responsible, you may assist in the programming, planning, implementation and evaluation of the various objectives and activities planned.

From the interest shown, you will be able to propose and develop educational and/or leisure activities/workshops and may well give your point of view on the various tasks, such as being able to contribute with new ideas.

Always under the supervision of the Responsible and depending on the workshops, your support may include the accompaniment of participating in outside activities, support activities or leisure in which you will support Monitors in functions as monitor or animator, and support the overall activities in which you will collaborate both in preparing the activities as in users' attention.
