Resumo: Our Association was established in 2003 with the objective of community development in a post-war region, empowerment of community members, especially those discriminated, socially isolated and otherwise marginalised. As a non-profit, non-government community organisation we're working towards a Vision of a humane, democratic environment in which Association acts as a generator of changes and a stronghold of positive ideas. Given our country's history and current developing democracy, our primary Mission is to empower citizens to develop a sense of responsibility and initiative for the advancement of the entire community.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: "International Volunteer Day" is an important day on the 5th December recognising the value of volunteering, the hard work and dedication of volunteers and their priceless contribution to the community at large. This Group volunteering activity has the objective of Raising awareness about the meaning of International volunteer Day and the importance of celebrating the values of volunteering and contribution of volunteers as active citizens.

Volunteers will make attractive promotional materials and a presentation which they will present in the community hall, within primary and secondary schools in the region, at meetings with local and regional government representatives and within other public institutions. They will especially promote youth volunteering and the Erasmus+ programme, promoting mobilities of youth through volunteering projects and the European solidarity corps, as well as the value of the European "community" approach in solidarity. They will assist in planning and organising the actual event - celebration on 5th December and be the stars on the Day of the celebration where community members will also have the opportunity to learn about the volunteer's cultures and countries. The last task will be to put together a small promotional brochure which will serve to disseminate project group activity information and results.
