Resumo: The original Asociación Cultural , created back in 1998 with more of a local perspective, has transcended into the ever-expanding Foundation that we are today. With a higher official status we now not only aim for public awareness of classical and jazz music (among many other genres) and performing arts such as dancing or chamber opera; the organization is decided to reach international audiences and establishing fruitful relationships with other European
entities. From 2018 on creating a dialogue through mobility programs to connect youth with arts and music will become a key point in our priorities.

We are very excited to give the first steps in this regard but we need of course the collaboration of capable entities which might have access to individuals who share these concerns, enthusiasm and desire for teamwork. We are specifically looking for meaningful experiences which will certainly contribute to cultural togetherness and transcend borders. This is the natural destination that the path we started twenty years ago has taken us–and it is not a task that should be taken lightly. The organization is a place where young people who are interested in culture, arts, and music have an opportunity to display their talents through combined effort. Regular activities will involve anything from workshops, performances (mainly classical music and jazz) and conferences, always contributing to the community. We believe it is a fascinating chance for foreigners to have a taste of the vibrant Spanish culture while broadening their artistic horizons with a rich offer of international genres and guests. While it is true that the organization is mainly focused on music today, we want to properly incorporate other disciplines such as visual arts, scenography, cinema, literature, painting, gatherings, photo exhibits, andalusian folklore and many others in the near future. These are all activities that have already taken place but since they require a much bigger workforce we haven’t
been able to really commit to them, that is, until now. Any proposal that the volunteer may come up with will be welcomed and assessed.

Tarefas: ● Promotion of the Erasmus+ program. Help and collaboration in the preparation of international youth projects with special attention to EVS.
● Assistance in coordinating events and workshops . Both national and international concerts, masterclasses and gatherings take place every week at Clasijazz. The volunteer will learn the criteria to create a quality, constant offer of cultural events.
● Management of cultural spaces. Volunteers will see for themselves how a non-profit cultural foundation has managed to use a space in the city center for all sorts of activities: performances, dancing, operas, theatre plays, etc.
● Digital media & updates. Volunteers will learn how to publicize an event and the importance of good marketing through our website, large scale emailing, Facebook, YouTube, etc. Understanding these skills is essential if one wants to promote live music nowadays.
● Playing music , in order to understand the needs of performers and stage dynamics. A volunteer who already able to play can improve their skills, but someone new to it can study the basics of music in any of our workshops.
● Sound and lightning . By assisting in the audio and light configuration volunteers will learn the importance of proper ambience for the audience to enjoy the music further.
● Close treatment with international guests . Volunteers will be able to meet first grade musicians and learn from them.
