Resumo: Young people are now in an extremely difficult situation. The period when they enter adulthood, when they struggle with great difficulty to get an education, take their first job, i.e. they try to become full-fledged, adult members of society - this difficult period fell on the time of profound changes, economic crises and instability of life. The Foundation has been working to support young people in discovering their potential, in developing their passions and skills, so that they can get the most satisfaction out of their personal and professional lives. European Voluntary Service is an excellent form of developing key competences and stimulating civic activity, therefore, in connection with the mission of our foundation, we want to support young people who want to be volunteers and other people with them through EVS.
The aim of the project will be to support comprehensive development of young people, and above all to raise and acquire new skills, competences, entrepreneurship, which will affect the acquisition of social and professional experience, later used in personal life and the labor market. Participation in the project will also allow for the experience of cultural diversity and team cooperation.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Tarefas: The volunteer will assist full-time therapists and employees of the Windmill Therapy Center in working with people with mental and physical disability. Some of them are physically independent, but all of them have mental impairment. The Therapy Center has seven working areas: housekeeping, carpentry, gardening, art therapy, handcrafts,
tailoring and theater. The volunteer will assist disabled people in their daily work and rehabilitation, as well as the open air activities, trips and tours.
Tasks of the volunteers include:
Help therapists in their daily work in the working areas;
Help in preparation and assisting them in walks and tours;
Organizing activities about volunteers’ countries;
Preparation and presentation of cultural elements of their own country;
Preparation and participation at promotional campaigns of "Erasmus+";
Preparation of an international market stalls with the intercultural games at various outdoor events, celebration and festivals.
