Resumo: at the Contina farmhouse there are different residential interventions coexisting for recovering drug addicts, for minors coming from the prison system or from abusive situations, and for people infected with HIV. True to our founding spirit, the cooperative also hosts those who, while living with hardships, do not fall under the definition of “protected” given by social services, such as young people suffering from mental illness, adults who have lost their homes and jobs, and the elderly abandoned by their families. Our founding spirit is sharing everyday life with those who are struggling, welcomed in the “normalcy” of a family within a large familial network. The challenge has always been to give those hosted a protected experience but also one as close as possible to family life with all the responsibilities and freedom that that entails. The time spent in the community should not be a parenthesis but an alternative, the possibility to relive a series of values that our society has confused, recovering one’s traditions and cultural roots.

Perfil: - a female volunteer; girl, interested in working with babies (from birth to 3 years old) and who likes country life (Rosate, near Milan).
- What we seek in our volunteers is the desire to get in touch, build relationships with respect and enthousiasm; - We are looking for people whose attitudes towards life and work allow them to share a part of themselves with us. We are happy to welcome people that want to get involved and join a path of growth; - You should choose our project because of the unique experience and development you'll gain, NOT ONLY because of the country and the language ! - As the major part of the volunteers' activities will centre around communication, it would be favourable if the volunteers had a basic knowledge of Italian when they arrive (some words and basic expressions to start a conversation).

Tarefas: The volunteer will assist the teacher in the various educational and recreational activities with babies (0-3 years old). She will have ample creative space both in the planning and in the preparation of places and activities for our young guests. In addition, she will participate, with the mothers, in the outings from the community. The volunteer will take part in all of the activities organized by the cooperative in coordination with local groups (such as the South Milan Agricultural Park, the parish of Rosate, the various municipal governments, etc.) to both fully integrate into the local community and to have relationships with the people outside the cooperative.
