Resumo: The host organization is a cultural and leisure time association. It represents an up-to date information point dealing with the different social services as well as a meeting point for the citizens of the urbanization, where they can meet with their neighbours, read the daily press and take part in the planned activities. On the instalations they offer a playing room, a social room, a reading room, a theater, a library, a ciber room and various multi-use rooms.
In the association we plan activities for children (playing room, handicraft, languages, painting, theater, etc.), teenagers (youth club, hip-hop, brake dance, karate, judo, languages, theater, etc.) and adults (gymnastics, brain jogging, handicraft, cookery, film club, book club, etc.). In addition to that, we offer other, open activities (gatherings, parties, etc.), which can also be themed acording to popular holidays (Magosto, Christmas, Carnival…)

Perfil: We are looking for young volunteers with interest and motivation in cultural activities and leasure time with children and teenagers.

We are looking for youngsters with capabilities of comunication, social skills, enthusiasts, creatives, with initiative and values and ideals about solidarity and europena identity.

We value highly the desire and the motivation to participate in this experience.
Finally we pay special attention in the work of the sending organisation, because we think that this is an essential part, and that all the partners must be involved in the project.
Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteers will integrate into the activities which already work in the leisure-time and cultural association for the neighbours of the district: for the children(playing room, handicraft, languages, painting, theater, campsites, etc.), teenagers(youth club, hip hop, brake dance, karate, judo, languages, theater,...) and adults(gymnastics, brain jogging, handicraft, cookery, film club, book club,...) in addition to other, open activities (gatherings, parties, etc.) which can be themed according to popular holidays(magosto, Christmas, Carnival…)

We believe that the cultural background, the different perspectives and ways of working, which an EVS could provide, would be very interesting for the different target groups:senior citizens, adults, teenagers and children and could inmensly enrich the work of the association

We would like to offer to the volunteers an experience of sociocultural animation by integrating them into the activities of the center
