Resumo: The The host organization is a community of 8 EVS volunteers and a Dutch house leader, all working in different social and diaconal projects throughout the city. There are up to 25 projects where EVS volunteers can choose to work in, they all work in 4 or 5 different projects, varying from homeless centres to childrens programs. Also living together in an intercultural community is an important part of this EVS experience.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The host organization is an international Christian community for young people from all over Europe. During the week the EVS volunteers work at different social and diaconal projects. Each volunteer can work in up to 5 different projects, as a way to explore the various aspects of social work and contribute as volunteer to many different projects and people! There are many different projects: homeless shelters, kids clubs, a hospice, a deaf café and many more.

As a volunteer, you support the placement’s professional staff with their day-to-day work. Your work is often a combination of:
1) Giving personal attention to the clients of your placement, for example by making them feel welcome and having a chat;
2) Organizing, running and assisting with group & individual activities
3) Practical chores, such as doing the dishes, cooking The volunteers tasks will be adjusted to your learning goals and talents.
