Resumo: The Association for Mental Healthis a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian
organisation established to aid individuals with mental health issues, those in temporary mental distress, as
well as their relatives and anyone else interested in mental health. The Association was established in 1993. It holds
the status of a humanitarian organization granted by the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs on the
basis of its humanitarian activities.

Our programmes and activities include:
• psychosocial rehabilitation of people with mental health problems,
• improvement of their social situation,
• creating opportunities for independent and quality living, the centres for mental health are present in almost
all Slovenian regions. The volunteer will be active in the local unit.
The program of the Day centre is carried out in the form of group and individual activities. Its goal is the
psychosocial rehabilitation for the quickest possible integration back into the every-day life.
Activities in the day centre are adapted to the needs of its users with the help of professional workers. We offer:
• psychosocial rehabilitation workshops (social skills training, interactional exercises etc.),
• self-help groups for relatives and users,
• educational workshops (foreign languages, computer courses, cooking workshops etc.),
• creative workshops (music workshop, handwork, working with clay, painting workshop etc.),
• free-time workshops (board games, exercising etc.),
• trips, camps, holidays, hikes,
• lectures and round
• visits to exhibitions, events, and shows and many other activities.
• individual counselling that involves: counselling, informative and relief discussions, and individual planning.

Perfil: Highly motivated young people with interest in working with people with mental health problems. Preferibely with priority skills: open communication and empathy, team and group work, humaniatrian themes, with different hoobies (sport, handcraft, music, etc.).
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: • socializing with users
• working in small groups, leading small group
• running different free-time, creative, educational workshops
• assisting in daily activities of the day centre

Horário: The working days will be from Monday till Friday, for around 6 hours per day (9am-3pm). Evenings and weekends will be free
