Resumo: The organization is a social enterprise that gives hospitality and training in the growth toward autonomy to teenagers in difficult situations. The organization founded and manages three shelters for teenagers with problems of child distress or juvenile erratic behavior (14-21 years old), social housing service, territorial services, an ergotherapeutic workshop, a community center, a training workshop for carpentry and carries out awareness raising and social promotion and sector training.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Activity 1 - place 1: after-school support, ergotherapeutic activities (garden, vegetables and flowers, carpentry, painting, removals and evictions, cycles and home maintenance), group activities (cultural, sports, cinema) and leisure activities, support with the daily management of the house (as preparation of meals with the guests), networking with the territory, trips and vacations with the shelter.

Activities 3 - Place 3: support for operators and guests of the shelter involved in the management of the Community Center (social library with coffee corner) and promotion of other community network initiatives, books and wifi management, organization and maintenance of the center, relations with customers and suppliers, refueling of food and beverages (self-bar mode), social promotion initiatives, local community aggregation, workshops, cultural events.
It is important to underline that the volunteers will never substitute the staff in the ordinary activities but will bring an adding value to our communities helping the operators in the different activities, enriching and enhancing the work already in progress.

The presence of European volunteers gives value to educational work with our guests and contributes to the organization's growth.
The objectives of our project include the creation within the shelters of an experience of sharing and intercultural integration addressed to multiple recipients: the guests of the shelters, the volunteers, the operators and the local context. Live the experience of comparing points of view, gaining flexibility and sensitivity, opening spaces of imagination on possible ways of life, overcoming their feelings of marginality and diversity.

For the volunteers involved in the daily management of a residential service, the project offers the opportunity to grow as individuals and acquire teamwork and communication soft skills and specific skills in the field of education and language skills, through a learning by doing dimension, with shared and clear aims.

At the end of the service, the organization supports the volunteers in the final evaluation and maintains contact with former volunteers, encouraging them, in network with the S.O., to carry out dissemination activities to raise awareness among other young people and inviting them to return to the organization to share their experience with the new volunteers.
