Resumo: The organization belongs to a network of grassroots initiatives and civil society organisations that was founded in 1995 with the purpose to support community projects which make an active contribution to environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources through an ecological way of living. The offices are based in an ecovillage in Spain, and consists of a vibrant staff complement working alongside the GEN Europe council to make its vision a reality. An ecovillage is an intentional or traditional community that is consciously designed through locally owned, participatory processes to re-generate social and natural environments.

The motivation and main objective of this project is to open the doors of ecovillages and eco-communities in the Iberian Peninsula to the European youth and to take the impact of these initiatives onto a new level by involving inspired and motivated young people in a series of activities that will employ them will skills to effectively combat the challenges of climate change. These activities include regenerative farming, ecological building and renovation and regenerative (cradle to cradle) waste management and active communication on these various activities.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

For this activity, we are looking for volunteers with an action-oriented attitude and with a strong desire to see projects through from beginning to end.

Tarefas: The volunteers will be expected to work alongside community members in helping design the food garden, plan for its development, and ensure that the needed resources for its upkeep are available. In addition, the volunteers will help plant and harvest produce and take periodic measurements such as soil quality and produce yield. A minimum commitment of 7 months is asked for.
