Resumo: The host organizationis an educational permaculture farm. We organise PDC-courses, workshops, work days and open days on different aspects of permaculture, f.e.: 'how to build a rocket mass heater'; 'growing edible mushrooms'; 'growing a food forest'; 'people and permaculture-topics', and much more. There are many groups (schools, local conservation societies, etc) who visit regularly to follow a workshop or to work in the garden. The beautiful roundhouse, that we've built in the 15 year old forest garden, is the teaching space. In the garden is plenty of work: weeding, animal care, wood chopping,... in the beautiful hilly scenery of the flemish Ardens. We also have a new project next year: distributing organic vegetables in the village by electric cargo-bikes, organising events on local food and a big building project using natural materials like round wood, cob, straw and hemp. So many willing hands are needed.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: °working in the permaculture garden and forest;
°cooking for and supporting the open work days and courses
°building with natural materials
°household chores, cooking, washing, cleaning etc.
°packing and distribution of vegetable baskets
°assisting in the organization of events around local food, picknics etc.
°assisting in the organization: network building, social media-reports, translating for other volunteers,…

Condições: 9.00u - 12.30u / 14.30u - 17.30u, working days a week: 5/7
