Resumo: The host organization is a voluntary, non-profit and non-governmental organization, which endeavours for the wellbeing of children, youth and families. Programmes are going on through the whole year and are focused on target groups from the wide public. The emphasis is on the equal possibilities for all participants and free participation as a rule.
Among constant activities there are the following projects: children's parliament, readership club, entertainment at the day of the family (15th May), excursions, holiday programmes, study circles, week of the child, meeting of famililes, merry December, theatre shows, projects with volunteers, promotion of voluntary service in the local community, cooperation with organizations and associations with similar programmes.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer's tasks would be preparing presentations of his/her country, prepare creative or sports (or both) workshops, and join all of our usual activities for children and youngsters. Every year the volunteer also prepares a small simple course of his/her mother language for children and joins our other animators and menthors during summer camps at the seaside during summer holidays.

Work here is selfinitiative. The volunteer usually prepares activities from the idea to the realization. It would be nice if the volunteer suggests his/hers own workshop (for example – a simple sports class or art or cooking class/workshop) which would include
making posters, deciding how the workshop would look like and then make the workshop.
We are open for new ideas, suggestions from the volunteer (some previous volunteers also made exhibitions, photohraphic workshop etc.) Volunteers can also prepare and make small projects of their own to express their interests.

Of course we always help the volunteer with organisation, translation and everything else. Another slovene volunteer always helps him/her with his/her activities, and menthor and coordinator are available every day. We have 2 employees at our organisation at the moment, but we cooperate with many volunteers that help the volunteer with the project.
All people involved in project speek English, some also Italian.

Accomodation is in the local dormitory with three meals a day, the office is a kilometer away from dormitory in the House of Youth.
