Resumo: The host organizatio is a non-profit organization that focuses on the social reintegration of youths between the ages of 8 - 25 years old. Primarily focusing on the prevention of school and family abandonment, it offers helping for poor families, through donations of money, food, medicines, and clothes. Some of the programs include a day care center, Nightshelter for the street and an active Volunteer Program. Program OverviewThe Day Center is comprised of two main programs:The LEO laboratory (Occupational Education Laboratory) integrates 8-10 young people/ year who do not attend school by teaching them work skills and trades to help them find jobs . The class is run by an educator (teacher) with the support of volunteers from the Volunteer Program. The LES laboratory (School Educational Laboratory) consists of 30-35 young people/ year who are helped by one educator (teacher) and volunteers in doing their homework. This program strongly encourages children to stay in school .

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: 1. Taking food and spending time in the station with street kids and teens (Monday, Wednesday and Friday from about 17 (preparing food) till 19/20)
2. Day care center – daily activities – social animation, crafting, trips
3. Foster home for children – usually family like activities during afternoon evening or weekends – crafting, walking, dinner, trips
4. School and socializing activities with 2 roma communities – about 2-4 days a week for a couple hours
5. Helping with food, clothes distribution for poor families
6. Activities with refugees from the centre – these we will decide once you are here

In the first days we will take you to see and explain everything we do or can do.
We have many opportunities for free-time spending – with the children or with other volunteers – that we can organize or you can by yourselves- in the city and around…
If you have ideas for activities we can do almost everything. The activities and the exact things to do are programmed weekly.
On the other hand if you can help with some technical stuff (like play instruments, picture, movies, dance, etc. ) we can do with children or even help with stuff (management, fundraising, etc…)

The idea is that we have some fix activities (or more timetable and daily program) but we can fill any activities we want that have to do with education, non-formal education, life skills, free time, sports, …Anyway our educators will manage or will be there as support
