Resumo: The host organization is an independent, non-profit organization free of ideologies and built with a bottom-up approach. The informal legal predecessor of our organization began its activity during the Spring of 2011 in Pécs, with the direction of its current Vice President. Students of law and economics joined to support, encourage, and educate (English and German languages, History, Literature and Mathematics) poor or disadvantaged students aged 13-18 free of charge. Young people living in homes provided and run by social services were also considered disadvantaged. After finishing his studies, the leader of this coterie found it necessary to formally establish the organization near Lake Velencei in 2015. Voluntary Station was established by academic studends and young professionals living near Lake Velence with the aim of organizing community programmes to support and maintain local culture and tradition, protect the local environment, and supporting the extracurricular education of members of their community through international mobility projects.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: To introduce the importance of the language education and the relevant tools of promoting active citizenship and involvement of youth and young people with fewer opportunities.

* To provide the young volunteers with competences in creating media contents, telling the stories of people from various communities.
* To promote the learning opportunities young people have connected to the international educational activities, volunteering, but also other ways of learning and self development. To turn the attention of the young people to the issues, which are not discussed in mass media: environment, gender equality, minorities, educational opportunities, discrimination, disability and others.
* To develop the cooperative skills by build a strong team of regular contributors including international volunteers and local youngsters. At the beginning of the EVS the activities will be aim to create a comfortable atmosphere of trust, introduce the project and its objectives and create a team of international volunteer and local volunteers. The EVSer will attend a study visit in the hosting organization, workshops about intercultural learning, Hungarian culture etc. He will start discovering the details of his tasks, share his interests and preferences, formulate his learning objectives. He will start meeting with all the members of the team and interesting locals who organize events in the public spaces of Kápolnásnyék and Velence, as well as members of various communities.He will start exploring the area through organized city hunts and games. In the following period he will be working independently and together with other members of our organisation. He will work in working groups based on his interests and start conducting the fieldwork and office work which will be always combined with the using differnt tools and participanting in workshops that will develop their organiseing, educational and critical thinking competencies. During the fieldwork the volunteer will explore interesting people, events, issues and challenges that Hungarian society faces. To summarize on of the main activities will be to share the life long learnings objectives and call attention to the importance of knowledge of foreigner language. He will attend meetings with the experts and other young people who will share their knowledge about society in Hungary, culture, public events, inspirational stories etc.

Each week will begin with a coordinating meeting of entire Voluntary Station team and personal skills development workshop that will help them to acquire new competences related to the project. These workshops will be held in the office of the hosting organization. In the second phase the volunteer will be encouraged to run small workshops for different groups of young people. The objective of these workshops will be to develop the competences of other young people in becoming open minded. The participant will be also working on promotion of our association by organizing presentations, workshops, on-line campaigns etc. Every week the volunteer will also have an opportunity to participate Hungarian language lesson and a workshop about Hungarian culture which will be altered with workshops about culture and history of the other countries of the volunteers in VS.
