Resumo: The organization is a school institution which provides leisure time education to children, pupils and students. The mission of the organization is to motivate, encourage and lead children, youth and adults to develop their personalities, key competences, especially the meaningful use of leisure time, so we offer a wide range of activities in a safe environment, with a professional team in new trends. SVC Mikado systematically works with participants in nearly all forms of activities defined by legal standards, methodological instructions and other documents (Deed of Foundation etc.).

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteers’ task will be the preparation of activities arranged by our organization for children, youth and adults.
During school year volunteers will participate in regular leisure time activities.

Example of volunteer regular activities
■ School for small children - it s like nursery scholol for children 2,5 years old
■ Untraditional and fine art techniqes – in this workshop volunteer’ll help to develop the children’s sense of art and support their creativity.
■ Sport’s games – Filling of these clubs are swiming, skiing, skeaiting, ball games, running, survival activities... Volunteer will prepare an amusing programme for each meeting.
■ Pottery – to work with clay, to model, to glaze and then to bake in a ceramic furnace. Volunteer tasks – propose objects which he will do with children and youth.


Irregular leisure time activities run during the entire year. For example: weekend trips, competetions, exhibitions, weekend activities, summer and winter camps... Below are some examples of the volunteer’s work at these irregular events.
■ Carneval for children and youth – production of tickets, production of costumes, preparation of competitions, aids and participation in the carneval dressed like a character from a fairy tale.
■ Weekend trips – reservation of transport, accomodation, meal, preparation and leadership of moving activities during the stay.

Horário: Working hours volunteer- example

Monday – 8.30. – 12.30 Assistance and own activities during the programme in the Maternity Centre. Mini-school without parental assistance. Scheduled meetings and presentations in local schools.

16.00 – 18.00 - Preparatory meeting with the head of the club / Time for assessment with the coordinator, mentor / self-evaluation + youthpass preparation.


Tuesday - 8.30. – 12.30 Assistance and own activities during the programme in the Maternity Centre. Tuesday Baby Nursery for mothers with children under one year.

16.00 – 18.00 - Regular and irregular activity in MC. Preparation of the planned activities / Discussions and debates with the public. Meeting with mentor


Wednesday - 8.30. – 12.30 Assistance and own activities during the programme in the Maternity Centre. Mini-school without parental assistance.

16.00 – 18.00 -Regular and irregular activity in MC. Activities in hobby groups.

Thursday - 8.30. – 12.30 Assistance and own activities during the programme in the Maternity Centre. Thursday Creative Hands

17.00 – 18.00 - Conversation with Czech people in the volunteer´s language.


Friday - 8.30. – 12.30 Assistance and own activities during the programme in the Maternity Centre. Mini-school without parental assistance.

16.00 – 18.00 - Preparation of own activities and projects, preparation of promotional materials / work on the blog and the leaflet on EVS, Language Course

Saturday – Day off or participation in irregular activities - town festivals, fairs, performances by children of MC and Mikado, summer camps and suburban camps.

Sunday - Day off or participation in irregular activities - town festivals, fairs, performances by children of MC and Mikado, summer camps and suburban camps.

Time schedule is flexible for vollunteers.

When the volunteers have weekend activities, they’ll have days off in weekdays. During holidays volunteers will participate in summer or winter camps, depend of actual plan of SVČ. Volunteers’ holiday after agreement will be 2 days of each month. It is possible to take more days together.
The volunteers will assist the pedagogical staff and the leaders of groups. The volunteers will not be responsible for children and youth in clubs, activities, camps, …... The volunteers will be able to work on their own project.

The volunteers’ scheduled work will comprise of the activities listed below.
Work with people ( workshops, clubs, activities) – 40%
Preparation of regular and irregular activities, getting to know the work and philosophy of our organization - 25%
Work on volunteer’s project – 25%
Czech language course – 5%
Meeting with mentor – 5%

Condições: The volunteer will have his own room. A bathroom and kitchen is to share with other staf. Our organisation will give money to volunteer to buy their own food (110,- Kč/day). During activities such as summer camps or weekend activities they will eat in the camp canteen. She will get volunteer allowance every two weeks. In Czech republic is 90 Euro per month.
