Resumo: The centre where the volunteers will be placed is a structure for people with medium and severe handicaps, attending during the day activities all aimed to developing the users’ residual skills an to maintain the acquired levels as much as possible. In the centre the disabled find a strong support integrating the different pedagogical and leisure time occasions given by their families. At present the Centre hosts users dissimilar for age and pathology, and therefore with different needs. The project will last 9 months and foreseed the partecipation of two volunteers who will
work in the centre for 35 hours from monday to Friday.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: After a first period of adaptation, the responsible will decide together with the volunteers which activities are fitter for them to implement.

In general the volunteer's role will be supporting the users during the socialising and integration activities, helping managing the social-recreational activities of the centre and involving the users in the participation to the initiatives promoted by the territory. They will also help the educators during daily moments with the users; which means also supervision during the meals, tidying up of the dining rooms before and after lunch, and activities related to their personal care (dressing, using wheel-chairs, etc.). The volunteers will always be welcomed and appreciated during the excursions and camps usually organised.
