Resumo: Link is a cultural association founded in 2003 by a group of youth workers with the aim of providing opportunities for local youth mobility and intercultural exchange by participating in international projects and local initiatives. Link would like to be a practical response to the needs of young people who, in a complex society like today, need support to enable them to feel active citizens and contribute to the development of a united Europe, promoting the European values of tolerance and diversity. In particular, Link wants to bring young people, and all the local community, closer to an intercultural and international dimension, offering them the opportunity to meet new cultures and live new experiences that can enrich the local area. Link works with European Programmes that promote the mobility and non-formal education and runs projects locally and internationally, involving young people and adults in active intercultural exchange with particular attention to the participation of young people with fewer opportunities. Currently the association has a team composed of four youth workers and, while running projects, receive support from two external co-workers and local volunteers. Link is committed, at local level, in projects of non-formal education in collaboration with schools and local associations, implements workshops with disabled youngsters, promotes volunteering and gives planning support to informal groups and organizations interested in European programmes. On international level, Link is active in the implementation of intercultural projects, seminars and training courses. All the activities of the association are based on non-formal education.
