Resumo: “Opera Nazionale per la città dei Ragazzi” is a network of services
and projects with a social and welfare character in the city of Rome. It
manages projects and social services - residential care in community for
disadvantaged children in conditions of severe social problems,
psychological and economic. The projects and services aim to consolidate
the best levels of social integration, growth and developement of its
beneficiaries in a balanced relationship with the land and with context.
Under the trading of its services for children, the Opera Nazionale per la
città dei Ragazzi, continuously carries out socialisation and
recreational activities, laboratories, and educational workshops, designed
to pursue the institutional goal of the services themselves, which is the
achievement of the highest level of social integration of its
beneficiaries.These activities are coordinated and managed by the team and
volunteers of the two cities, with three supervisors skilled as required
by the existing national and regional legislation for the authorization of
the operation services, as well as a 2framework” coordination team, with
transversal project design function and high levelsocio psycho pedagogical
skills, participate, 19 professional educators, a social worker, a
psychologist, a guidance counselor and the coordinator of the educational
project. This team has high expertise and volunteer management training
and socializing oriented approach to social inclusion of the protagonists.
Perfil: The Opera Nazionale per le Città dei Ragazzi will give the possibility to all those young people who are supported by strong internal motivations and interest so as not to preclude a formative experience because of the curriculum, which often does not reflect absolute values, tied to principles of integration and solidarity. Guaranteeing the maximum clearness and seriousness the volunteers will be chosen according to their will to be part of situations in line with the association and the principles of solidarity and tolerance.
Tarefas: The socializing educational and ludic recreational activities in favour of the guests will be of various type: sport, cultural, laboratorial and of participation to formal and informal groups which will be accompanied by offering support for study through formative trainings and other things. The implement of activities of socializing sort are in fact oriented towards the psycho-affective inclusion of the protagonists.
The Opera Nazionale per le Città dei Ragazzi suggests this type of projects of development since it is the volunteer who first makes better educational capacities following a bilateral logic of learning where the activities and the roles do not substitute the persons on site, but are near to them in a parallel and continuative support.
It is exactly this efficient action of subrogation of the social activities, which support but do not substitute the combination of educational interventions, which the projects mean to carry out and concretize so as to offer to the volunteers opportunities of growth and involving their capacities to exploit their talents. In fact what is wanted is not only a passive contribution, but conceived actions through personal programs with the aim of involving the active aspects of the person and not only of competences identifiable in a greater reliability in the area of assistance to minors in need according to the planning of the educational intervention, for the support and animation.
The volunteers will participate to some of the activities of the project, offering their contribution to support the staff in a coordinated and gradual manner and without substituting the organic personnel of the services, according to a principle of proportionality between competences of entrance, competences acquired during the year and capacities developed.
