Resumo: The Foundation’s aim is to improve international and intercultural relations and stimulate international mobility and intercultural awareness, especially among young people. Therefore we provide support for the volunteers to create the opportunity to do voluntary work abroad, both as sending, coordinating and hosting organisation (to enable both young Dutch people to go abroad as well as other young people from abroad to come to the Netherlands). Our head office is in Rotterdam, the second biggest city in the Netherlands. The city is characterised by its multicultural population. Besides stimulating volunteering, Lava Legato's main focus is on organising, facilitating, and working on social enterpreneurship. The foundation has partners in social and commercial field to work on these objectives.
