Resumo: The Host organization is a national charity focussed on conservation of buildings and landscapes. It aims to preserve spaces, to protect wildlife and heritage. The organization is looking for 1 volunteer to help support ranger team.
The volunteer will be working alongside the rangers to deliver habitat management work across the estate – including woodlands and forestry, meadows and grasslands, coastal zones and wetlands.

Perfil: This projects is located in a beautiful area but it is very remote and isolated. Please consider how you would be feeling living in a remote place, far away from cities or towns and no public transport before applying for this project.
This role will suit people who are…
• Are aged 18 or over. (Please enquire for opportunities for those under 18 years of age).
• Keen to work in the outdoors, whatever the weather.
• Looking to gain experience, knowledge and skills with a view to enter the professional countryside management sector.

Tarefas: Tasks of the volunteer will include estate maintenance work – like path creation and maintenance, maintenance and improvement of the historical landscape, keeping the site free from litter, building and maintenance of estate furniture and structures. Develop knowledge of the Stackpole area, its wildlife, habitats, history, geology and archaeology, also to assist the rangers in leading guided walks and events, taking part in estate patrols, monitoring wildlife and engaging with visitors.
