Resumo: The host organization aims to provide information on the European Union and the member states. Its goals and activities are:

TO INFORM PEOPLE ABOUT EUROPE
The Information Centre accredited by the European Commission enables people to find information and answers to their questions about Europe. They also can find information in one of the 17 Europe Info Centres located in different areas of the county.

TO MAKE PEOPLE KNOW EUROPE BETTER
We propose diverse educational workshops and trainings:
 Schools workshops (primary schools, secondary schools and high schools) .
 European games for youth/leisure centres (European tales, treasure hunts, big games...)
 Secondary schools workshops.
 A competition entitled "Destination Europe" targeting 14-years old pupils
 Thematic workshops targeting adults who want to know more about a specific topic related to Europe
 Training activities on specific themes for companies.
 Language courses (English, Spanish, Italian, German...).
 Thematic workshops for town twinnings, youth information centres...

DEVELOPING EUROPEAN AWARENESS THROUGH DIFFERENT EVENTS
We organise regularly events such as:
- Debates, conferences
- Exchanges between European citizens and help in writing of European projects (Erasmus+...)
- Europe Day and Europeans' party around the 9th May
- A "Christmas in Europe" celebration
- International meetings in partnership with the county twinning committees, in particular "Europa Festival" a sports and cultural event which brings together towns from the county and their European twinned towns
- Cultural events to discover European cultures.

Perfil: Volunteer‘s profile for the project at the House of Europe: Motivation and interest in the European Union, Experience in the field of youth animation, Good knowledge of German (if possible), Interest/ value of such a project for the young person’s own project(s) and career

Volunteer’s profile for the project at Habitat Jeunes: Interest in animation, Team work, Open-minded and curious, Good communication skills in English (at least), Good ICT skills (internet, social networks…), A first experience in animation would be great.

Age: 17-30

Tarefas: 1 volunteer in The House of Europe: The volunteer will be invited to take part in the associative life, to discover the diverse activities, the small team and our partners. He/she will work with the 4 permanent employees of our organization as well as the members of the Board who participate in the preparation of the activities of the association. He/she will not only live at the Residence for young workers Habitat Jeunes but she/he will also work in one of their residences there as a volunteer from Monday to Tuesday and from Wednesday to Friday in the House of Europe.

1 volunteer in Habitat Jeunes: The volunteer will have the possibility to participate in sport and cultural activities proposed by Habitat Jeunes and also animate with the animation team. The animation team is made of 6 members, 2 per residence. The volunteer could work 2 days a week from 10:00 to 18:00 and three days from 15.30 to 22:30. He/she could prepare, do some research and the animation.
